Bugs / Venerated tusk of murder disappeared 1.3.3200

So, I had 7 normal elephant tusks stacked in a shelf. I completed the quest "Venerated tusk of murder" capturing this venerated elephant tusk, my carovan back to the base, some of the pawn put the venerated relic among the other elephant tusks and it now seems disappeared, I mean there are now 8 elephant normal tusks.

Support / Broken save without reason

Disaster, my long last game seems broken. I saved last time yesterday, I'm not using any mods but I have both expansions, today when I tried load the game I got a message that the map could not be loaded and then the log in the screenshot.

So I am playing for the first time in year in a tropical region with a lot of rain, that's why I am seeing a lot of new things I never noticed before I was playing in boreal forests.

For example, I am usually killing boomalope when it's raining (for obvious reason) but, after the explosion of the beloved animal, the rain does extinguishes the fire around the boomalope only and not the one in the boomalope itself which consume the animal until it disappears. Why?

The workaround has to be to set a base area there and then send the hunter to kill the fire, then remove the are, a little bit too mechanic.

Does torch lamp consume faster when outside/raining? I don't know why but I am noticing now this thing after years of gameplay.

Bugs / 1.3.3080 - Quest - Kasmo's forced landing

I had the classic quest of the shuttle forced to land.

The team to defend was composed by Kasmo and 5 Jannisarys.

I managed to defend Kasmo, while two Jannisarys died in battle and another was severly injuried and could not be loaded.

Once the attack ended, the rescue shuttle arrived, Kasmo and 2 Jannisarys went onboard but the shuttle did not depart, I suspect because the third jannisary still alive on ground, I waited until he could die, however when it happened the shuttle departed and quest failed, why? according the description the Jannisarys could be sacrificed.

Again, no mods at all.

My guninor Sabrina (shooter specialist) requires a bowler hat, however even if not wearing it, I don't get any mood malus. Bug?

No mods at all in game.

Can someone tell me what are the errors in the log? The game is running Ok, albeit it seems always something is missing with the quests.
Too fews and too different compared to some games ago.

Bugs / No trade carovanes after a while: 1.2.2900

Is there an explanations why at some point the game stop sending you trade carovanes?

I have 12 colonies, lot of stuff, 143 days passed with Cassandra at medium level (but I changed during the game from Randy), the carovanes stopped arriving around  after 90 days, so about 53 days without them.

No errors of any kind.

Again, I am using few utility mods (numbers, minimap, rimhud, modmanager, weapons stats and of course hugslib and harmony).

Hi, how do I setup two different copies of the game without messing up with the mods?

I currently have the first copy with the multiplayer mod, playing with a friend.

Then I installed another copy on a different folder for a single player only, but when I launch the game, It seems Im running the first version with the multy mod, I guess because the appdata folder is common for both.
I could save different mod configuration, but this will take time everytime to load and change.

How can I solve it?

General Discussion / Mega spiders spawning

Hi guys, I wanted use the mega spiders against my enemies (and the friends too :) but things went little out of control with the wild reproduction and they are now hundreds, any idea how to deal with ?

I have already almost lost the game in a mega invasion inside my base. What if I use the mad animals impulse? Will they start to kill each other?

Hi guys, I need your help as I found my colony in trouble.

I have got a mechanoid cluster, north of my base, a part some scyte, centipedes and so on, there is a mortar cannon and a mech low shield which is my main concern.

My tech is not advanced, I have got some hunting rifles, machine guns, pistols, my pawns do not have any armor nor mortars yet.

How would you deal with them in this situation?

I am afraid if I get close to the mech, I would be slaughtered, I cannot fire them due to the low shield and I do not have mortars to use, meanwhile they are bombarding me.
I have a lot of traps in a narrow canyon east of my base (you can see the wild animal on the mini map), but they seem smart enough not to follow me.
I could risk researching mortars, but it will require times and there would be the projectile problem, meanwhile they fire me with their mortar.

Any advice?

So, my colony is currently made of 7 pawns.

I have now got a quest about borrowing 7 (so all of them) of my pawns to the empire to destroy an enemy outpost.

Accepting I would leave my base defenceless (even if for some hours), has ever happened this to anyone?

Bugs / No quests after 15 days 1.2.2900 + Royalty

Hi, It seems something broke my installation.
I was using some mods, everythings was working fine during my game, then I started a new game, naked brutality with Cassandra as storyteller at medium difficult.
It seems I am not getting any quests after 15 days now, I still have my initial pawn + a prisoner.
I get a good amount of visitors, few carovans and some animal self-tamed joined the colony (in a game I got 9 terriers) in another a horse + 2 donkey.
I always play with cassandra and medium difficult and it's quite usual to have this inizial quest about hosting a noble from the empire in exchange of some honor, instead it seems this quest not appearing anymore, it seems like the empire does not exist.
I have restarted the game 3 times, the same pattern seem to repeat, no quests, lot of visitors and animals joining the colony.

I do not have any error on initial screen, even if Im using few mods that do not add anything new (wall light, pharmacist, harmony, rimhud and stuff like that).

I tried everything, from reinstalling everything to removing any rimworld key from the register, I do not know if it is normal or not.

Hi guys, I am looking for 1-2 mod that add guns, pistols, rifles, laser maybe to complete my collection.

I am not using CE neither vanilla extended mods.

So far I added the Zorg ZF-1 mod, but that it's just 1 gun, I would like something more complete, not overpowered is essential.

Any advice?

Hi, I have found nothing related to this.
Basically at some point all the 3-4 dusters I had in the depot, reserved to Cape.
Also, in the tailor's table I can see 2 options both related to the Cape, instead of one being for Duster, despite one of them still says "Duster" in the description.
Both of them would result in a Cape if manufactured.

As mods (Ill post a list later) I am currently using few, all related to archotechnologies and stuff like that, noone related to apparel.

Guys I feel total stupid asking this, but I maybe missed something. How this mod works?

When I start a new game, how can I plant rice, mais or potatoes if I do not have the initial seeds?

Hi guys, I have a lot of mods, all of them seem fine, but when I try to put CE Mod, it gives me this "Depend on invalid.package.id which is not loaded".

What Am I supposed to do?

Hi guys, I want to share my story because I am having a lot of fun with the current game I started at quite a difficult level.
After the initial exploit, I got in trouble because I wanted to build my colony entirely under a huge mountain, so I started to drill every piece of rock.
Very ugly rooms (need to excavate the rocks and level the walls), trash everywhere and lack of food almost took me to lose all my pawns.
I fortunately managed to recover well, but my favorite guy which gained the initial psylink and the freehold title (he was supposed to be the noble of the colony), died of cholera, vaiolo or something at the beginning.

He's being resting in the fridge (he's still fresh) for a while, my idea is to resuscitate him once I get the appropriate tool.
But unfortunately I had a harsh winter followed by 17 days volcano eruption which obscured everything bringing the temperature to -30, so I haven't seen people in months (nor animals), nor I received good quests.

Can I bury him in the ground and then use the resuscitation tool later or does he has to be fresh? He's giving a mood penalty every time you open the fridge.

I managed to gain another freeholder title to another guy, but how can I get another psylink?
Also, the position on the map (I am encircled by savage enemies) can affect the number and timing of merchants' visits? It seems I am having few visits than the usual, but I am also playing at hardest level than before.

Hi guys, can you advice a mod where time to time a random death pawn resuscitate, starting hunting and stuff?
I saw Zombieland, but it seems like more a mass death resuscitation in walking dead style.

I remember having seen another mod with the features Im looking for, but I can't find it anymore.

Hi, I got some tamed cows and donkeys injuried after a fight with external.

They are now resting at their spot, however I do not understand why they have been feeding with beer and ambrosia, instead of hay which I stored in tons just for them.
