Bugs / [M|0.6.532] Damaged file
August 14, 2014, 11:46:27 AM
I downloaded the latest version of rimworld yesterday. I opened the zip, and tried to play the game but a popup message occurred saying the game was damaged and couldn't be played. I thought maybe it decompressed wrong, and moved the folder to trash and tried again. Same message. I thought maybe the zip downloaded wrong and redowloaded then decompressed it again, still the same problem. Is this only happening to me?

i took a piclair of the popup:

Edit: i'm going to give some system information incase its because of my specs or something, but rimworld has always run fine before.

I have a Unibody Macbook from late 2009
Processor:  2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory:  2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics:  NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB

December 21, 2013, 06:50:08 PM
im not sure for how long this has been happening for, but today i loaded up a world, and i saw that there wasn't a building to be done, so i made my builders start placing carpets in my new base, and when they did i noticed a yellow flash randomly while they were building, i managed to pause it and get a look, it was the lighting bold for electricity, i took a picture

Ideas / More complex base setup and fighting
December 20, 2013, 02:25:37 AM
i think a way to make this game have better fighting strategy mechanics and base building mechanics would be if the ability to assign beds to specific colonists and to have be able to choose where a colonist will take priority in working. if this was added then someone could make 2 bases or more, each with a specific purpose, such as one will sneak up behind a raid while the other takes the brunt of the damage. doing this is already possible but it is very hard, especially when you first set it up. and then sometime colonists will go over to each others bases to work instead of staying in their own.this could also help latter if multiplayer is put in because this could be used so someone could make sure they can keep their colonist accounted for, and even possibly help make a balanced PvP mode.

Ideas / New game mode
December 16, 2013, 04:16:32 PM
i was thinking maybe there could be a game mode where you would start with 4 colonist in an area that people travel through often. You would have a good amount of materials and a steady flow of new materials free. You would have 2 days to build a base and defenses and try to recruit people. on the morning of the 3rd day, the amount of people passing through would lower significantly and you would no longer receive supplies. a band of 5 raiders would be dropped in, and every day from then, larger groups of raiders would land until they overcome you. so the 3rd day would be 5 raiders, day 4 would be 10, day 5 would be  15 and the raids  would be more organized and better equipped each level.
