Ideas / Wot do i haul?

Dont ya hate it when you get a new colonist, set him/her to haul things as you got a bunch of bodies and weapons to get to 1 place and then the colonist goes and hauls some metal... my suggestion is to have a tab on every colonist to CONFIGURE what they do in certain jobs, such as in hauling people haul only weapons and berries? and in miners colonists can only mine silver ore?? and in builders the colonist only builds walls and doors??? and the  can- you get the idea...

Im getting bored with the basic emp, incendiary and explodey mortars... and i may be alone in that view or not but i think more mortars can still be added. Such as the bullett shell (when it hits, bullets fly out in different directions) to name 1.

I got about 50 sets of power armor and its all over the place, i want to be able to make a stand that holds a chestplate pants and maybe an advanced version could hold a weapon with metal hands?

I have spent about 2 hours on this game finding a perfect location (to me, thats a huge clear space in the middle of the map with all the rock and stuff on the outside, maybe a bit inside) but its so difficult, i was wondering if anyone could let me know of a map that fits the description i gave. BTW! I the first large map (300x300) Any maps?

Bugs / Rainbow load

sometimes when i load a save file (not autosave, something i saved myself) the screen turns into a rainbow... any help?

Ideas / More events

I love the games current events like solar flare and eclipse *cough cough* but i feel they can get very repetitive and common, so i thought of a few new events from mods that could be added
Earth quakes (damages a few walls, buildings and maybe a colonist or 2)
Floods(when it rains a lot, an area can temporarily turn into a shallow sea kind of thing)
Random speech events(such as "john was mad that he was on a random rimworld, and threw a rock at the wall that bounced right back" then the colonist "john" gets a bruise?)
Animal mutation(very rarely an animal can turn into a super mutation, a muffalo can turn into a big fluffy ball of muscle, and a squirrel turns into a super quick jumping thing.)
Generous colonists(every now and then a colonist can "feel generous" and give something of they own to the colony such as a weapon or a bit of silver, etc)
Risk/reward events(this may be added already, im not sure as i play with mods all the time, but if not there could be a risk reward event like "John has spotted a raider camp out a few miles away, he thinks if hes quick he can steal all the guns." then there can be like a 48% chance john gets caught. you can choose wether to let the colonist go or stay!)
and finally, transmissions (every now and then you get a different transmission from a ship in space, saying something like "HELP! MECHANOIDS ARE KILLING US ALL, HE-" incoming crashed ship part)

This is a small suggestion, but i got 2 heavy charge blasters and i thought it could be fun to have my best shooter equip them both and go rampaging against crashed ship parts and raiders, if this cant be added into the game.. can someone make it a mod?

Oh? we already have mechanoids! But they all  hate us, i thought the game could do with a few things

1. when you get attacked by mechanoids from a ship part or hive etc, you can build a "hacking device," make a colonist man it and it could be like a turret with force attack or whatever, and you can temporarily make the mechanoid your own!

2. We could have like a machine that creates different types of mechanoids such as patroll droid (patrolls a set course IE: your outer base?
A Crafter droid a builder droid etc.. Like in MAI's mod!

3. We could make mechs, like huge suits colonists can get into and move about it, building is disabled along with anything but moving and hurting things..

And finally, 4. We could add Planes/cars, now i know there are a few mods working on cars and with no success. but planes? nobody is trying that! Cars could be like a faster way to get around and if ou build say, a humvee you can add a turret on top.
Planes can be really fast, with a few weak ish machine gunner turrets on the front or back. can only be hit by ANTI AIR TURRETS which could also be added into the game..



ON A SIDE NOTE!!! I would love to be able to send out a few colonists, or all of my colonists onto the world map to raid other bases. And we could have another machine to send supplies in drop pods like when we get besieged. there could be like randomly generated, although not stupid like 1 wall here then bam random carpet with a tree on it. But more like a few rooms conjoined with a few turrets on the outside, i feel this can be great inspiration for new base designs to new players and a great new addition to the game of rimworld!

Stories / Goddamn robots....

I got a story, i had a 28 man colony, all of them had R4 charge rifles except 1, who has a pistol as i couldnt find another R4 charge rifle.. So i got this Op colony, then Oh look what i found.. A crashed ship part right on top of my goddamn base! At the time it was one of my first ever crashed ship parts so i shot it to see what happens, then 2 big ass centipedes stroll on out and shoot me with the t500 incendiary launchers and miniguns. I get all my other colonists in but the centipede, bieng an OP thingy shoots em all.. 1 hit! After this i just blow up my base which still does nothing to the centipedes bit destroys my base.. By now i got maybe 4 or 5 colonists left bieng shot at by big worms made of metal and silver.. Then the damn box pops up saying Everyone has died or the story has ended, which i just say "Whoa professor!!! Really? i did not realise" then i ragequit and a week later i post this on the forums... DAMN YOU ROBOT WORMS!!!  :'(

I.. just realised something that i wasnt really a fan of, All the skills slowly go down... all of em. So if i go afk for a while with my OP "cover the whole map with turrets" setup, i come back to morons with lvl 1 crafting and mining.. Why does this exist? Why do my colonists brains slowly turn to mush? is there an option to disable it or... na?

 I recently had some douchbag raiders with molotovs destroy half my base with FIRE! And my colonists didnt have enough "beat out da fire" power to put all of the fire out, so i died :D I suggest adding something to put out fires more efficiently, instead of beat... beat... beat it can be WOOSH done.

As we all know, the improvised turrets are... just terrible, and the mortars can only hit things 30+ blocks away, i suggest adding more turrets that dont suck.. such as a, pistol pole R-4 turret etc like the mods.

I hate the phycic drones, they are unrealistic, wierd random and annoying. All they do is lower your colonists mood for no reason, i am sure a few players can agree they need to die.

Raids, they are annoying as hell am i right? And whats more advanced/ smarter? Humans, or bots in a game? the answers will usually be Raids are annoying, yes.. and humans are superior! So, with the game raiding AI bieng able to raid us, but we cant raid them? that's poo. I would really like to take the fight to the enemy and take over the whole faction! But i cant do that, its alpha 6.. Is this a plan? if not can it be a plan? i think this would be so cool to have in game..

Hello, do you remember me? I have been with rimworld for a while now, since alpha 1 in fact! and i remember all the great turret mods back then, now all of that is gone, the only turrets that i have found for alpha 6 are machine gun nests and a mod with a pistol turret and a flame throw turret, all of which have been useless to me.. Can someone please tell me about a turret mod with, i dunno say a T-9 fire turret frag turret heavy turret etc, like in alpha 1-3.. Thank you  ;D

PS: Great game Ty, i spend pretty much all my spare time on it now and i really appreciate the amount of time you put into this game :D
