Ideas / Fire extinguishers and sprinklers!

I had an idea where you could build sprinklers with a bit of metel inside of buildings, if a fire is in the building that a sprinkler is built they will go off and begin to fight the fire.
My second idea was the ability to craft fire extinguishers that colonists could equip and fight fires from a range quickly and more affectivly.

Ideas / Oil Lamps

I thought of an idea where you can dig oil and use it to fuel oil lamps for when the power goes out. These oil lamps will be able to burn for 3 days before going out from one bucket. It would require a little more metel then a regular lamp but it would be able to light up you colonists homes during solar flares or if you would like to divert power to other machines. You would find oil in little pockets and they would be extra frequent in deserts and plains and would yield 10 buckets of oil, that means you would be able to power a lamp for 30 days with one pocket of oil.

I think it would be cool if you were able to make maps instead of randomly generate them, you would be able to place stone, metals, trees and choose the type of biome and temperature etc. then you could save them and upload them to the forums for others to download and play :D

Ideas / Medkit crafting

I have an idea where there will be a medic crafting bench or something and if you get some cloth and some certain plant (don't have a name yet so I'll just call it health plant) you could craft medkits. This plant you would need to harvest would take a while to grow, far longer then other plants but after harvesting, 5 of these plus some cloth would allow you to craft 1 or 2 medkits.

Colonists can go to oceans and fish. There could be fishing hotspots with extra fish at certain coastlines or something. Maybe a fishing boat?
Your people would be able to sell and eat fish by filleting them and cooking them or by merely giving them to a food trader. There could be different fish such as small sharks, cod, salmon and maybe an alien fish that could jump at your colonists and try to drag them in and EAT ThEM!,,!!

So what do you think?

what is the weirdest colonist you have ever seen. the weirdest one I have see was a warrior who could not do violence and was super scared xD
I almost bought him from a slave trader cause I was like "warrior! sounds EPIC!" then I saw his stats >:D

Ideas / Fur trade and skinning

these people will come and you can talk to them in communications. you can sell them animals that you've hunted for silver and also buy animals that you could skin and eat and stuff. you can use skinned animals for food and use there skins for decorative purposes and making clothes and stuff like raccoon tail hats :D

what do you guys think?

So I made a post about horse shoes and I said "swag" for your horse and almost instantly I had people flipping out about the word swag and saying that I was stupid and stuff XD

By this point I was laughing pretty hard and my only reply to them mostly cause you can't edit the title was "swaaaaag"
The next day everyone flipped out saying I did that cause I was trying to not seem frustrated (how they didn't know I was being a troll I have no  idea) and that's how I got everyone on the minecraft forum to dislike me, all because if the notorious word SWAG.  ;D

Don't do Swag kids...

Ideas / Healing other faction members.

Any time a raider or visitor gets incapacitated you can only capture them or let them die which makes it worse with the other factions government so maybe you can take them in and heal them and let them go back to there colony when there healed to make things better with there government and so raiders will actually be able to be bargained with.

What do you think? Too OP?

Stories / The kidnapping.

My first world in alpha 5:

So my people had just started a small astablishment, 1 main room with a table and cook stove, 3 rooms each with one bed and a small garden which was growing strawberry and potatos. One of my people was gardening wail the others were inside mining and without warning (not actully I just wasn't paying attention) three raiders popped down which caught me by surprise since it was the first raid! They landed right on top of my gardener and attacked her, the other 2 colonists came out and incapacitated one of the raiders and the 2 raiders incapacitated my gardener and started dragging her away. My people chased them across the map and I was very surprised! I did not know they could kidnap! They ran off with her and my 2 colonists sat there very sad about there loss and decided to pay them back. They kidnapped there teammate and after days of interaction and beatings he was recruited and the raiders came back for him... But we were ready...

(Cliff hanger) dun dun dun!

Might make part 2 soon

I was thinking of a game setting called race mode were you have to make a ship and fly away in a certain number of days or the world explodes or maybe an army comes to get you.

This is a simple idea, but maybe pneumatic picks can also reduce the amount of rock rubble that spawns when you dig or maybe there could be a new research project that allows less rocks to be spawned when your digging a cave home?

Ok. The other day I was talking about a game (sir you are being hunted) and someone said it was a ripoff of gmod even tho they have completely different concepts. When I said this he said it was a ripoff cause they used the same gaming engine. (Which they do not) sir uses unity and gmod uses the half life engine. He kept saying it was a rip and got his friends who has never even played them to help with the argument. After 20 minutes I was just done with him. And another time someone argued that a German Shepard wasn't a dog at all and I'm not even gonna get into that...

Has anyone had stupid arguments like this  ::)

I thought of a new way to grow crops. Using fertilizer you can put it in ungrowable areas such as sand and you will be able to plant crops there  :P it could also go on existing crops to help them grow possibly.

Ideas / New animals and animal taming

Hey guys! Splinterbee here. I came up with an idea to add 1 more animals and 2 animal taming. But first the new animals

-wolfs: will be hostile at night if people get near them

-scorpions: poisons people. Possibly giant

-Sand worm: burrows underground and pops out when it's ready for a melee attack. Won't go back down till it's pray is dead

-Rizard: looks like a giant lizard and has ranged, spits acid, smaller range then a shotgun though

Animal taming.
Maby there could be new items added but the regular ones would be okay. Can't tame scorpions, boom rats or sand worms or insane animals. Here's what you can tame and how to do it.

-squirrel: tamed with berries and isent really used for anything. Just to comfort its owner.

-muffalo: tamed with agave or potatoes: can be breaded for a farm or can be rode on. Ride it into battle and ram people with it wail you shoot

-wolf: tamed with animal meat, used as an attack dog or a mans best freind. Comfort bonus

-Rizard: very hard to tame, tamed with muffalo meat. Hard to tame cause of its attack on sight behaviour.

Hoped you liked. Hopefully we will be riding muffalos to battle and crush are enemy's beneath are feat soon. If you have any ideas or thoughts feel free to post! Good day to you guys  ;D

General Discussion / Edge of the map trouble

 One funny thing that happened to me earlier was that there was a gas geyser next to my base and when I tried to place a generator on it and it said to close to edge of the map XD I couldn't build it! Hopefully there will be a fix were geysers only spawn inside of the map (or if there already is... Didn't get the bug update) anyone else have this problem   ;D
