Hey guys. Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not, so sorry if it isn't.

I had taken a break for a while from Rimworld and I am now back spoiler free about alpha 13.
I just have the problem of not being able to get it. I can't exactly find the email that I would use to install it and I dunno what to do. Thanks in advance

so basically, you know how when you were younger you made that potatoe battery and were all like "Woah!! that's amazing!!!!!1!"

Well, my suggestion is that we have the option of turning a couple thousand potatoes into a power source. Possibly an insanely late game option of powering yourself, geothermal power combined with some advanced potatoe power to make enough power to continue endlessly growing more potatoes to continue power production and so on. Maybe the potatoes of the future give more power than the ones we have now?

Ah well, just a thought

poem 2. "the price of greed"

there once was a man with a dream
and as he sought for it, he schemed.

he fought, and his power did grow
and whatever he wished was so

but one day, a man to him came to say
"you are corrupt and for your crimes you will pay"

the ruler payed him no heed
but he did pay for his greed

as his walls fell, his enemies poured in
they all screamed, "you shall pay for your sin"

and as the ruler was dragged to the gallows
he saw the strange man smiling, in the shadows

poem 3 "the thread gone awry"

a thread started off of Tynan's humor
turned to but a tumor

conversations run off track
the focus starts to crack

temp-bans begin to spread
as anger creeps, hard as lead

gays, trans, and bi
this thread needs to simply die

now to the next update the convo goes
where will it be next? no one knows.

Hey guys!. Here in Maine we are closing in on three feet of snow!  . And so well I am trapped in my cabin in the woods I though "hey! why not ask some useless questions to people on the internet!". So I want YOU to tell me how the weather is where you live. Is it hot?, is it cold?, do you even have weather?!. Tell me 

HEY. you there!, yes you! have you ever made something that you think is great and want people to see it but you can't be bothered actually going up to real people and showing it to them?. Than have I got the thread for you!. Here, there is no judgement, here you can self-advertise to your hearts content!. now, let's get started!.

I was just sitting here, reading suggestions, and then I had an idea. What if the rimworld you were on, for whatever reason, got invaded by a space fleet. Human or otherwise (dog people anyone?) I think it would be a pretty cool to have a chance of an invasion happening 2-3 years in to the game so that there was no chance of landing then having a fleet of dog warriors land on you're face. I haven't thought up the exact details yet but what if you got a message saying "a space fleet has chosen this world to colonize, prepare for the invasion" and then a few days later, maybe some scout ships would land full of armed guards. They wouldn't be immediately hostile unless you attacked them, or you could just have to hide inside for them not to find you. Then in, say, a month phase two of the invasion would begin and terraforming drones could land and have a expanding circle of lush plantlife around them, possibly accompanied by a team of guards/drones to defend them. Once the whole map has been turned lush and plentiful, phase three begins. This phase would entail the actual colonists landing on the planet, if it's possible i think this part could maybe add more factions onto the planet. they could be friendly, or just want to kill everyone. It could be cool if they maybe decimated a few other colonies in the process of colonizing. Like maybe that tribal faction could be suddenly gone from the world. And this would mean that when you started a new colony on the planet maybe some enviroments have become more friendly and the factions have shifted. This could lead to maps evolving as you played that same planet over and over again. Along with the chance of maybe having a fleet come by and do a religious cleansing on the planet, bombing some places and plain out destroying other factions. Of course there could also be a mechanoid hive that chooses to assimilate your planet into the hive. This could maybe be encouragement to build a ship or maybe there could be  whole new ending of you destroying the mechanoid hive, or being assimilated. This idea could be expanded upon even more and I am aware this would probably not be done by Tynan. But maye we as a community could create some massive mod to add this.

Hello. I am currently playing a colony in a tundra biome and I am having a lot of trouble with it. I can't seem to get any food grown, every time i try to grow food it is always too cold. And i know you will say to grow food inside but every time i do that it seems to take too long and all my people starve. And i should just hunt animals but all the animals in the tundra biome seem to have an insane chance of attacking the hunter and all my hunters get decimated by packs of beefalo, elks, or wargs. I have always up until this point played in a temperate zone but i found that getting too easy. I didn't think i could handle ice sheet so i tried tundra. Any tips on how i could improve my strategy?.

say that there is a tribe that is actively hostile to me (AKA i cant even contact them) if they raid me and i capture one then proceed to release them will the tribes will increase? I wanted to know this to see if I could end the tribal raids that way.

I have a pawn named noobits who got an infection in his torso and the infection is major and he only has 43% immunity. Is there any chance he will live? (all I have is regular medicine)
He is my chief doctor and grower and I really don't want him to die

I have been trying to run the zombie apocalypse mod and the crash landing mod. But they won't seem to work as far as I know they are both up to date and when i turn on the debug screen it says that a new game has been started with the mods. Any suggestions?  (this might actually belong in another part of the forums if so tell me)

alright third one this week im sorry for posting so many questions but how exactly do i get the game from the 7-zip to my files i already have a folder titled games because i did this with dwarf fortress but that was a while ago so i forgot how to move things. (i promise this is the last one)

a very quick question. how long after you purchase rimworld does it generally take to get an email telling you how to install it? (or whatever the email says)

okay so i bought rimworld. but i had my paypal hooked up to my checking account so i had to wait a few days. it just went through but now how do i install it?
