Ideas / Sprinkler system to fight fires with

I like to back my production tables, food machines, coms and solar panels up against walls to provide as much space as possible, but when a fire breaks out, i tend to lose those investments due to not being able to put out the fires in the back tiles. what if there was some kind of 'security' item that would have the same effect in a localized area that a rainstorm does? it could slowly put out any fires that pop up within, say, 5 tiles of itself.

Ideas / Quarries and Mineshafts

I want to say that I've seen quarries and mines done in various ways by various mods, but I can't honestly remember the particulars of them. I do feel like there should be a renewable source for stone and metal though. perhaps requiring 10 wood or so for each 'USE' of the mine or quarry to represent the resources needed to hold up tunnels and retaining walls. It might be best to only have a percent chance of success in finding usable stone or metals though, that way it's not just a straight trade of wood for metal/stone.

Any thoughts?

Just like the title, I didn't get any slave ships, wanderers, wounded from dropships, or any pirate captures after about day 20. I'm almost at day 100 with only 12 colonists and the only reason I survived is because of lots of blasting charges, lots of rocks and slag that I put in front of my base as a killing field, and the fact that almost every single raider carries an M24/M16/Pulse Rifle that I sell from more metal to make more blasting charges.

Bugs / Can't remove animals from gibbets

Sometimes, I'm not paying attention after setting a build order for gibbets, and my colonists will fill them with dead animals instead of dead raiders. I cant open any right-click windows to remove the animals though. Maybe this is by design though?

Bugs / Lightning bolt icon apearing over a fire

in my current game, whenever I extinguish a fire, i have multiple lightning bolt icons flashing above the fire in different sizes.

Bugs / Possible Bug involving screenshots - Not a bug

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but whenever I try to take a screenshot on Rimworld so that I can post the picture, all I end up getting is a screenshot of my desktop.

Bugs / Can't build on a tile surrounded by structures

So far this has been reproducable in every single game. My file size is too large to be posted, but imagine this:

    XXX
    X0X
    XXX

If the 'X's are fully constructed sandbags and the '0' is empty space with no foliage or slag or anything, I have found that I can't build anything in that empty space. I can pay the cost and put down a blueprint, but construction will always stop around halfway and will never finish.

EDIT: I tried to take a screenshot, but anytime i take screen shots of Rimworld, it just takes a screen shot of my desktop instead...

I don't know if it's a bug or not, but when I select more than 1 drafted colonist at a time and right click on a raider/boomrat/squirrel/etc to tell my selected group to attack, all that happens is that my selected colonists think I'm giving them all a move order to that location instead. so i have to manually select each colonist and tell them which enemy to fire at.

Everything is fine if I only have one drafted colonist selected though. This is reproducable and has happened in every single one of my game.

Bugs / Game started without free pistol

I was playing on tough Kassandra Classic and when the drop pods opened, i looked around for the pistol only to see that there wasnt one. I even built an equipment rack and reset the priorities to only hauling and cleaning. I was hoping that a colonist would find the pistol behind a cactus or something. It didnt work though.

Again, sorry for the no apostrophe. Slashes and apostrophes make firefox crash for me.

I tried to take a screenshot, but i think my pc has a virus. going to wipe it and hope that these issues resolve themselves :)

Bugs / Colonits starving when they shouldnt be.

Has anyone else had any problems with their colonists suffering mental breakdowns from starvation even when there was a surplus of unrefined food, a food machine(cant remember the name), and enough power coming from a turbine?

I just had 2 colonists end up wandering in a daze :(
