I got biocoded frag grenades of a past prisoner that I can't smelt, destroy or put to other zones. Only way is to shrink the zone(or destroy the shelf) where the grenades are and then being able to move them to another zone where I can let them decay.
For example I'm trying to right click on the smelter table with pawns available for that job but it says "cannotsmelt weapon: need material". A job prepared to smelt all biocoded weapons including frag grenades forever is prepared.

I tested it with a biocoded shotgun(not from a prisoner). It's working then

Is not possible without moving the map view. It's probably rather a minor bug, but I thought I'll mention it.
Edit: Ok, I found out it's less problematic when I set the UI scaling from 1.25 to 1. But it still happens with the categories at lower position of the screen if UI scaling is set to default again.

(Linux Ubuntu) Middle mouse button click rotation of buildings doesn't work always in newer versions. I can click on something in the menu with the middle mouse button and it's always registered but not the rotation of buildings. I tested it on beta18 and 19 branch again and it's working there always. My mouse is a Logitech M110 Silent if that has any relevance.

A mod with a filter to let you skip repetitive names. There are so many more exotic names in the ingame database I never saw during my many hundreds of hours playtime.

I have a pawn with level 3 in crafting but he is incapable of intellectual. Is that why I can't use him here?
Why there is no info about the requirements on the drug lab?
Edit: I think I sound a bit unpolite after reading it myself. If it sounds unpolite, then because of my bad english. (sorry)

Clicking on Ikos combat log gives me error. Language is set to german here. After switching the language to english the error was gone. So I guess it will be fixed automatically when the full translation is ready, shortly before release of A18? Tell me if you need the savefile

The prisons temperature is alright. Its also enclosed.

And begin to rotate. Aaaand several part of the corpses are thrown all over the map and we see flying organs and so on.

Ideas / Water cooling up pawns on hot maps

Standing on water terrain the colonists could cool up. Could be a nice addition on extreme deserts with oases.

So when I'm starting without a lvl. 6 constructor on a map where the temperature is very high with 4 cactus on it.
Because of lack of wood I can't use the generator. So no electricity for the cooler.
Isn't the only way, to leave the map with caravan and travel to a better spot on the map or what?
I know I could randomize another pawn having higher skill in construction.
But I'm just curious because before A18 you could build fast a solar panel and a cooler
even with a lvl. 0 constructor and had a chance to survive. Maybe I overlook a better solution idk

Ideas / Add an oil resource for desert or tundra maps

On desert maps there could be oil spots on the surface.
I saw something like that in the movie "There Will Be Blood".
You could use that for your generator.
oh wait don't you need a raffinery for that oil first?
I thought it would be a good source for electricity on maps lacking trees and when you are unable to construct solar panels because you don't have a level 6 constructor since A18.

The soundtrack is great but sounds way too optimistic for such a brutal game. Especially separate music for the colder biomes would be cool. I often listened to the soundtrack of the movie "The Revenant" and other similar when playing on colder maps. Made me feel so nicely depressed.
As I said, I really like the Rimworld music when it fits the situation. Also I listen the Rimworld soundtrack when playing other games where the world is happier.

Bugs / [0.18.1704] Pawn wearing too many clothes

I attached the savegame in 2 parts in two next posts.
It could have something to do with the new queue function I used for undressing the unconscious pawns from the cryptosleep casket.
Edit: Ok it happened already before i stripped them. I've checked an older savegame. But the caskets were already opened in that savegame. Also no one in the ancient shrine attacked me. The bugs were just wandering. Don't remember this behaviour from previous versions.

Also it sounds like they grab the item and let it fall again but they are stucked and don't move. Only those 2 Pawns on that Map. Shortly before it happened I created a second colony here because the two were running out of food on their caravan journey. The plan was to harvest berries and then leave again fast.
