Well, we actually managed to get off the planet in my Alpha 15 play through, so better up the ante and choose Randy this time! I'll regret this for sure.

SO! The story this time is that a family, having lost everything due to civil war on their home planet has decided to scrape together and sell the last of their belongings to book passage away from their war torn home and travel to a new, unsoiled planet in order to start anew. We start with a family of four, a mother, father, daughter and son and 2 random pets. This means if we lose any of these people early the colony is 100% sure to fall apart.

Also, this being the original family, once we have enough colonists to make it feasible, they (or what's left of them) are going to want to start enjoying life a little, leaving the hard work to the other 'employees', or guests in their colony.

I've got three videos up so far, and although Randy hasn't exactly been kind, he hasn't been as vicious as he could have been. There's a chance we could make a decent go of this run. Barring a manhunting pack of 80 boomrats.

So, after in my last play through everyone died horribly in a painful display of bad luck and ineptitude from everyone involved, I decided to start a new one. This one is called the growers, a group of drug growers come up with the grand idea to set up on an uncharted planet hoping not to be bothered by any authorities or anyone else, not realising the planet is in fact inhabited.

Everything goes wrong and they crash land, without any real knowledge of how to survive without their ship providing electricity. They have to try to survive, with the knowledge of drug making, but otherwise the research level of a tribe. Will they survive? Can they escape the planet? And can they grow enough drugs in the mean time to live like kings when they do? Playing on Cassandra on Intense.

The first 2 vids are up!

And 72 episodes later, we're finished. It's been a really good run, thanks for watching!

Video / Alpha 15 - Crashed and Helpless
September 02, 2016, 10:55:27 AM
Hi Guys, I've started a new Rimworld Alpha 15 play through on my Youtube channel, with a custom scenario I've entitled Crashed and Helpless. Essentially I've always though it was unrealistic that every day survivors from a spaceship escape pod would magically know how to create solar panels and wind turbines from scrap metal, so now they can't. They live as tribespeople, but with colonists' survival equipment and the remains of their ship scattered around the map.

I'm playing on Cassandra, challenge, and was having a good time of it... until a couple episodes ago. I've uploaded 7 now, so think that's enough for people to see if they like it! Give it a watch if you'd like, and any tips or feedback would be appreciated!
