General Discussion / Diseases in A16 seem much more deadly

In A16, diseases seem much more deadly. I've started several colonies since A16, and I haven't had anyone survive any diseases. I keep my colonists on bed rest in medical beds and have them treated with herbal medicine every time they need it, but nothing seems to help. Even infections are deadly 100% of the time. In the dozen or so colonies I've played since A16, not a single person has been able to survive anything other than the flu.
Is anyone else having problems with diseases or am I doing something horribly wrong?
