A few days ago I started a gameplay series on the Run And Hide Gamer channel showing the Mars X mod for Rimworld. I thought it might be interesting for you out there who watch my videos to also read the story of the Mars X Crew as their journey to Mars begins with setting up a base on the Moon.

Space is a hostile environment and while up there your crew is exposed to many dangers such as space radiation, carbon dioxide exposure, Intracranial Hypertension, and decompression sickness.

On top of that your crew is highly trained to solve any of the problems that arise daily.... problems that could make your crew very sick or worse.

Today's video has my crew facing a critical problem.... oxygen levels in the ship and the base are falling and the crew is becoming sick.... and so far no one knows why the oxygen levels are falling.

This is day 2 of the mission.

Our written story here will begin where it started a few days ago..... the moment where The Eagle Will Land.

Chapter 1 coming out here in the next 24 hours.

Video / Mars X For Rimworld
March 05, 2021, 10:03:14 PM
I noticed there was an updated version of Mars X released back in December and saw there were no recent videos of the mod on Youtube .

So today I have posted the first video of Mars X on my gaming channel.

You can find it here

When crashing on a planet I try not to make things too predictable.... your ship is in pieces with debris scattered in a large area around you.

It would not make sense to automatically have your revolver, shotgun, steel, food packages,etc..... I mean you just crashed and all of those items may have been destroyed.

So when setting up a new scenario for Crashlanded for example, I remove every resource that comes with the default scenario.

I then go to Add Parts...... Scatter Randomly..... and without looking at what item was scattered randomly I repeat the step another 12 times until I have 13 parts randomly scattered across the map.

Still not looking at what those items were.

I then go configure the rest of the game.

When Rimworld starts up and I find myself on the planet.... I pause the game and see exactly what parts were scattered around.

So for the current game I found a lot of pork scattered across the desert....also some not so handy items such as cryptosleep caskets, lamps and other somewhat useless items.

Well not exactly useless.... while Steel was not scattered across the map I can deconstruct these other items I do not need and get much needed items.

Example.... the caskets gave me steel as well as Uranium.

Unfinished / [1.0] The Flintstones
August 17, 2018, 10:25:47 PM

A quick post to let you know that I have been working for a couple of weeks on a Flintstones mod for Rimworld.

The Flintstones have been a popular cartoon I have watched for over 40 years and I have an idea on how to get Fred, Barney and the gang into Rimworld.

Will post preview shots as development progresses.
