I believe it's because we invaded there territory, and destroy their natural enviroment by means of chopping down forest and killing animals.

Bugs / Tundra Biome in the middle of desert?

Made a world that has tundra with desert around it, maybe a hiccup in world gen? Seed: combo

When are songs decided to start playing? is it random? or does it happen at specific times?

I am interested on how it's decided.

I watched a couger walk around the perimeter of my base, it went and killed a rabbit on the complete opposite side of my base (which is at least 300 tiles), even though there was much closer prey.

Ideas / Misanthropy Trait

Instead of a colonist having both the Misogynist and Misandrist traits, they'd just have the Misanthropy trait.

So I had a colonist trying to drop a corpse on a stockpile, but AI is stuck, it just keeps going back and forth

Here is what mine looks like:

Day 1
>Create smallish building which has: Dinning room/work room, Storage room, seperate bedrooms, prison, and horseshoe (all out of wood)
>Make growing zones, dumping stockplies

Day 2
>Start stonecutting
>Start researching
>Create Fueled generator
>Create Freezer (out of stone)
>Start work on perimeter wall (also stone)

Day 3
>Expand starting building
>Continue work on perimeter wall/defenses.

Does anyone know of serveral mods that go really well together? I wish for them to compliment one another, NOT have ones that overpower others, thus making them useless.

General Discussion / Special Stockpiles

So I have a couple of special stockpiles for specific items, and was wondering if there was anything that could be added.

Stockpiles I have;

Hospital Stockpile: Consists of medicine, and bionics.
Crafting Stockpile: Consists of Wood, Steel, Plasteel, and components.
Deadman clothing Stockpile: Deadman clothing.
Orbital Trade Beacon Stockpile: Consist of objects that I sell.
Weapons Stockpile: Consists of only weapons.

All of these are located in strategic locations.

Never knew this was possible, Feels good though.

I am worried of colonist like this dying, so they get confined deep within the colony, never to see the outside world ever again.

Curious to see what scenario people use most. If you choose custom scenario, if you would be so kind to post what exactly the custom scenario is, it would be much appreciated.  ;D

Caravan arrived at my jungle colony during a heatwave and 2 people passed out from the heat, I was able to save one of them but the other died before I noticed, the old geezer I saved was wearing A PARKA OF ALL THINGS...

3 more of them died while they were leaving my colony, saved the one that was still alive.

I tried saving 2 of them but they died before they were able to leave the map...

Wondering if I could put the kitchen where the Heat vent on the cooler is, and have vents leading to other rooms for heat.

>Low on food and medicine
>blight with 6 colonist getting sleeping sickness
>full time medicine production
>say to myself sarcastically "Now all I need is muscle parasite"
>Randy laughs
>5 colonist get muscle parasite... + Raid
>"WHY?"
>defends without casualties
>Only raw food is left...
>poison ship
>leave it alone
>9 colonist in hospital, some with 1 disease, others with 2
>2 go beserk
>both get beaten up by the 7 others, one dies

>raid follows
>extremerange.jpg
>friendlies
>1 person with a pistol
>...
>Use doomsday rocket
>INSTANT WIN
>healthy colonist frantically gathering food
>Unhealthy bedriddened
>future full of uncertainty...

This all happened over 3 days. what I learned from this is that Randy can sometimes be a real jerk, LIKE COULD YOU JUST NOT INFECT MY COLONY WITH ALL THE DISEASES OVER THREE DAYS!?
This game is very fun at times

Anyone know any interesting combinations of the Wetness and Temperature setting?

I have one, Decrease the Wetness by -1 Increase the Tempreture by 1 and you'll be able to find a temperate forest with a year round growing season.

Since Rivers are being added in A17 was thinking that a water wheel for another source of power could also maybe be added. It would supply a constant power but it wouldn't be very much power.
