Tired of all those old bolt action rifles you have? Wish the LMG was useful and not the worst gun in the game? Well this adds better versions of them you can craft. More info is at the steam page. Any bug reports or balance issues are appreciated as this is my first mod for Rimworld.

Ideas / Trash cans! Keep dat trash, off the floor!

The trash can, usually a large can, is something that humans throw trash into so it does not get on the floor, apparently these have not been invented on rimworlds, so they are very trashy places.


How they (would) work, is that if there is a pawn about to make a mess within a certain distance, e.g surgery, butchering, coming in from outside, vomiting, it will go into that can and not on the floor, they could have to walk to the can, but I feel like that would complicate the trash can.

Basically some script kiddy at the pirate base figured out how to change the friend or foe settings on one of your turrets. And now it shoots at you. Or it just breaks on its own.  This is pretty evil tho, and would probably just be annoying.

I want to make the molten cannons from Rimsenal have an indirect firing mode, allowing them to function as mortars. I have the def for the bullet, but I cant think of a way to make the gun change between bullet defs by flicking or toggling it, any ideals?

To simulate cauterization? Like if a pawns arm is bleeding but then it takes a lot of fire damge to said arm, closing some of the wounds up. Also making a pawn visibility darker and scared the more burn damge it has?

like disease or physic drones, its like randy doesn't want me to leave. does anyone else have this happen?

when executing downed animals they don't take into account the area of effect of their weapon and stand in the blast zone.

Tested with both rocket launchers, and also any mod weapon with has a blast larger then 1 tile.

This was quite comical to find out after forgetting to reequip my hunter.

I don't think this is a bug though, the grass that is in their allowed area is pretty far away. Is anyone else's chickens not able to graze like other animals?

This should take the least amount of art and basic coding (I hope)


This mod is going to add the ability to send pawns underground to explore, mine and build.

You are going to have to build a Headframe (elevator) first. Then select a pawn, right click on the headframe and select "go underground" once you do that an underground map will generate with caves, traps, treasures, bugs, etc. Also a small area where the elevator back up is. You can also delete this map by clicking on the head frame and selecting "abandon shaft" and generate a new one by selecting "create shaft".


Once I get that done then I will try to make selectable depth to drill to, caves that are further down are hotter, and more dangerous environmental wise and have less treasure. But have more resources and less enemies to fight. While the opposite is true for maps that are closer to the surface. Then having multiple levels at once, and being able to run power and resources between them and make AI able to travel between them. And finally adding a vault door, and buildings designed for living under ground, allowing you to make a massive underground vault colony.

We can strap mortar shells to motion sensors, why not strap them to rockets? Take a mortar shell, some chem fuel, metal for the tube and components for the rocket engine. Maybe lock it behind shipbuilding basics as well to keep players from getting them too early on. Would give players an effective (but expensive) weapon to use on groups of raiders and centipedes.

I had a raid message that said they where more tactical then usual, checking the wiki that means they just steal items. I had a line of turrets and behind that my pawns. But some of the attackers (they all had guns) went to melee my pawns and didn't use their guns. Some did though guns though. I am using Rimsenal, but I saw this problem with pawns with both vanilla weapons and mod ones. Maybe they where trying to steal things and didn't register the wall of death in front of them?

People in the rim world lose at least one finger or toe a year and you just so happen to keep getting them with full digits! Norman by 40 or so they would have lost all of theirs and a limb or too on average.

Mods / Faking Z levels.

Is it possible to simulate Z levels by creating new areas? For example you build mine shaft that lets you send pawns underground. When you use it, it creates a new colony but it is completely covered in mountain roof tops and rock. You could mine, look for treasure, fight bugs and raiders you find down their, and when your done, you go back up the mine shaft and the map is deleted. Is something like this possible? If we can create custom sized maps can we make multi story buildings work with a stair part that sends them to the "upstairs" map?

I had a caravan arrive and was sitting outside the bunker into my base when some raccoons went man hunter. I though they would take cover behind the turrets and would be safe from the raccoons. while they where safe from the animals, they where not safe from themselves however and what followed was a few minutes of absolute stupidity on my door step. when the raccoons entered their range they ran in front of the turrets and where shot by them. One had grenades, and was throwing them at the raccoons meleeing his frens, and they where exploded by those. Another one had a incendiary launcher, which he was firing at the raccoons and setting my crops on fire, they where also burned by that. There was also a little bit of friendly fire just because. After it was over I checked my relationship with that fraction and it was under 10, down from 48. Why should I be punished for their gross incompetence and idiocy?

They are bugs right? Big bugs but still bugs. How about pumping whatever room they are in full of pesticide? (Being able to pump gas into rooms like a super villain would be BaLLer). Or a sprayer weapon to spray poison at them or in their path. You could also put out poison food pellets. The reason I am suggesting this is that fire can be Op when dealing with infestations, unless they are in your storage area, and attacking them head on is difficult without good weapons and armor. For a colony with little resources, theres not much you can do about them.

Pawns get the my friend died debuff when a pretty or beautiful person dies even if they have never met the person. I had a model fleeing from tribals, but once I saw he was a model I just left him out there to be captured. Now my pawns have the "my friend died" debuff but no one ever saw the guy. I'm pretty sure this is the opposite with an ugly pawn, as the opinion modifier is instant?
