Help / How to install mods on mac via forums
February 17, 2018, 07:20:34 PM
I know this has been done before but none of the other methods worked for me. I tried some of the other ways on the forum but my rimworld was in a different location and i couldn't find the mods folder so I had to do this:

1.Download the desired mod via ludeon forums and leave it on your desktop or downloads
2.Open Finder and hit "Command+Shift+G" to open the go tab and put in "~/Library". Otherwise just find an access to the library folder on your own.
3.From there go to Application Support>Steam>SteamApps>common>Rimworld
4.Open the folder and right click on the Rimworld game icon and select "Show package contents"
5.Drag and drop the downloaded mod into the "Mods" folder and it should be downloaded in game

Worked for me and wanted to help anyone else with a similar issue!

Help / Mod folder
February 17, 2018, 01:17:14 PM
I usually use the steam workshop to download mods but i found one on the forums and wanted to try it. Ive followed the install directions but can't seem to find my mod folder. Ive check the rimworld thru applications and downloads swell as library and desktop portals. Im using a mac, but I don't think thats the issue. I can't seem to find any other threads on here about missing mods folders either. Looking for help!

For some reason in game, rim world won't respond to any keys pressed on my keyboard. any other application on my computer works fine, but rim world won't respond to any keys pressed. In addition to this, when I press keys in rim world for some reason an error sound occurs upon every press. I run rim world on mac and on the steam version, and I have my log file to the game. I do run some mods, but the game was running fine with all the same mods installed previously, and just started to not work today, without any application or system changes being made.
