I am unsure if this has been posted before. I searched, and found nothing - probably, I didn't search enough.
But I really want to know, are we even getting a borderless windowed mode? I don't want to have to make a 5 steps manipulation to play in that mode, and the only windowed mode we are allowed has the huge white borders, it simply looks ugly. The reason I want that borderless windowed mode is because I play with two monitors, and I gotta admit that the game closing when I switch my cursor to the other monitor is plain annoying.

Support / Core having errors even on vanilla

So I know that the title is pretty vague and I could search for the solution but I did, and literally, I didn't see any post with a title resembling my issue. Currently I have Multiplayer and Harmony+ Hugslib installed, but even on plain vanilla, back when I bought Ideology, I started getting https://gist.github.com/b28a37d92407cd339fa32367d2559842 those errors thrown whenever launching the game without mods. I have found NO solution and no other problems similar to mine.

Do I have to plain reinstall and hope it fixes it? Will I lost my modlist?

Hello! I've got a savefile entirely made with medieval and viking mods. It used to work fine, but since I've gotten 2 crypto weapons and 2 crypto armor pieces and that I loaded Rimworld today, I'm getting errors out of nowhere. At the loading specifically ; I first noticed all of those I quoted had disappeared from my pawns, so I checked the logs and I get errors regarding crypto weapons/armors right at the loading of that savefile. https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/346eff3d125e821b935be168c48906ea is the error logs ; the errors I am talking about start at line 3160 (the others aren't significant). Never did that before.

What's causing the issue? The mod is at the right version, so is my Rimworld.

So I've had this idea for quite a while now for myself : Making a colony that's gonna have to live "like" in a vault, I don't have much mods for that but it's not the subject. Is it actually possible to survive while the map is struck with a toxic fallout that I made permanent ? Mostly about the animals and the fact that going outside get them a toxic buildup and that the pawns would need the Undergrounder trait.

General Discussion / Undecided material [MOD PROBLEM]

I installed a mod called Mantodean for my B18 RimWorld's version today. Everything works perfectly, except the (spoil ahead) Jelly maker and Jelly seasonal maker both doesn't have a "decided material", which means I cannot build them by any means outside using the cheats. I've heard from a friend that the material is supposed to be human meat, but for me it's simply no material. How can I fix that ? Shoul I seek into the mod's codes, risking to break it, just to set the material, or simply spawn it using cheats, even though that'd be really, well... cheating ?

I was used to play with the basic storyteller which is Cassandra Classic but nothing was happening on my game, so I went to play with Randy on Rough difficulty (If you have any doubt, I stayed on 1.0 and B18 versions which are, in my opinion the best builds.). At first it was certainly more fun than playing with Cassandra, but it's been, for 4 or 5 games, reallly boring. Nothing happens, not even a raid, not even visitors, not even sicknesses. It's really boring, even though I'm with Randy Random and almost the highest difficulties existing on those builds. Am I doing something wrong ?

I have mods (a lot) but I don't think that's the issue here. Indeed the mods that are involved are Simple Slavery and PawnMenu but it's not about errors - in fact they work perfectly. No, the problem is, my slave won't stop going for kibbles whenever he's hungry, even though I set his menu as Nutrient paste meals. I'll assume it's because it's too far away from the nutrient paste dispenser or because the kibbles are in his authorized area ? If it's the case that's just very annoying to delete the zone around the kibbles JUST for the time he wants to reach them so he immediatly switches to search for nutrient paste, and I'd be very annoyed to completely forbid him this area because this slave serves me to clean the whole place (so the barn aswell) because my pawns are too busy to do so....

Mods / [MOD REQUEST] Gainable traits through "events"

Hi ! Let me explain the title here: In Vanilla Rimworld there is no way of gaining traits from experience that happened in a colonist's life. The only exception being recently on B18 where 2 of my colonists gained the "Desensitized" trait after living with only cannibal colonists, that kept killing and butchering humans.

But that's when I thought "Hey, that should be a feature for others traits!" For example, in current Rimworld game, giving human meat to non-cannibal colonists will result in them being sick (and unable to move) for quite a time but they will never become cannibal. Likewise, a colonist (assuming there's still a free slot for a trait or two) gardening a lot never get the "Green Thumb" trait, unless he/she had it at the creation of the colonist. And for children? Imagine those who have Children and Pregnancy; with a mod adding traits depending on what happen around the colonists, or what we make them do, traits should be earned depending on their slots space (though in the playthrough I talked about, one of the colonists that got the "Desensitized" trait now has 4 traits..) and life experience. Imagine a young colonist around 20 that's perfectly normal, and with time, he started to kill a lot of humans and kept seeing death so much, he became Psychopath.

I really think that could be a good idea (For B18 and 1.0), if there was any way to make such a mod. If there is, that'd be cool ! Or, if such a mod already exist, could I, please, get a link, or a name ? Thanks a bundle !

Hello everyone ! I made this topic so I could either suggest, or find an already existing mod on B18 that meets my requirements. I'm searching for mod(s) that add a new feature to the game, specifically the addition of traits during a playthrough. For example, a person should be able to become cannibal if he keeps eating human meat.. or, having a colonist farming a lot should earn him the green thumb trait... kids that are borned and raised should also be able to develop new traits depending on what happen to them or what they do during their childhood.

Has any mods like that seen the light yet? Or such mods that resemble the things I'm searching for ? Not being a modder myself, I wouldn't be able to make such a mod, or mods in general. Thanks for your concern !

General Discussion / Batteries won't keep power

I'll explain that more specifically;  I'm actually running a non-steam Rimworld with some mods like Zombieland in priority and it only happened on that savefile by the way...

So basically my batteries just don't contain power. They charge until 800 W/ and doesn't seems to keep it. It decreases really fast, even when there are 2 or more wind turbines running at full power at night. Even with 4 solar panels at day, the batteries don't charge. So what did I do wrong, since it only does that on that savefile? I've got no problem with batteries on the other savefiles...
