Hello, I have audio issues for the Steam version of Rimworld. This problem is rather bizarre, as Rimworld had normal sounds just earlier in the day. However, now there is nothing no matter what I try. I know this is isolated to the game because other applications and browsers work normally.
Typically when the game boots up, I can hear small click and the menu music starts, but even that is gone now. I've disabled all mods, checked my drivers, made sure Windows 10 was up to date, verified game integrity through steam, restarted my computer, and uninstalled and reinstalled the game. While looking for solutions I stumbled upon this:
However in my speaker properties there were no tabs for enhancements or any sign of a way to disable one. Another topic I found was on reddit, and a user mentioned they had the same problem, but what stood out to me is that we both had MSI laptops.

Is it possible that the issue is related to MSI, or the drivers MSI uses? If it's of any use, I also use Nahimic 2 audio driver, but looking at the settings gave no obvious solutions.

Disable sound blaster enhancments checkbox in speaker propities did the trick. Turning them all off in creative control panel did nothing but this seems to have fixed it.
