General Discussion / Animals won't fight

I hope this isn't some weird mod interaction, but I've noticed since the 1.3 upgrade animals don't fight.  I look at a number of animals that were Intermediate in their "trainability" and are now "none".  This makes hunting more dangerous since you don't have an animal companion.
The theme seems to be "If it can't kill you easily you can't train it."  So far I've only found Bears and Wargs trainable, not horses alpaca or Wild boar which were trainable before and IRL are trainable.

Bugs / Shelves can't be targeted by bills

1. What the circumstances were.
    I was making a simple meal and I wanted to put it on a shelf.  I could not.
2. What happened.
    I was not allowed to select the shelf as a destination for my simple meal.
3. What you expected to happen.
    I expected the shelf to be a choice to send my simple meals to as they are being made.
4. Steps we can follow to make the bug appear on our machine. This part is important! We need a set of steps which we can follow to get the same results you're seeing. Ideally you'll test these steps to make sure they work from scratch.
   build a kitchen with a shelf.  Setup the bill "cook simple meal" choose the button "Details". Next choose the dropdown "Take to best stockpile".  You will notice that the shelf is not one of the options to choose from.  It shouldn't be too hard to make a shelf into a furniture that has a built in stockpile zone.  As a game maker you are relying heavily on the modding community to make your game worthwhile.  The modding community can't fix shelves.

Support / Swamp preventing Caravan

If a swamp is on the edge of the map and the caravan decides to exit the map there it can happen that they never can get everyone within range.

Reproducing this glitch is difficult:  It requires swamp land on the edge of the map and requires that swamp land to be deep in the middle of the departure zone.

Attached is where the problem happened. It was cropped for size.  (Sadly I didn't think to post this till I had the problem jerry-rigged)

to jerry-rig:  in God-mode pave the swamp.

While it's true that there can be very many shelves, how many production centers can there be?
It seems to me that a link to a pre-existing target is not as processor intensive as the current zone setup. So why not treat shelves differently and only make them targets?  Why not have "haul to" and "produce to" as the only means of filling a shelf? That would work better and be more efficient (I think).
Besides it's wasteful to have a million variations of what can be put on a shelf when that shelf only holds two things.

I don't know if this is technically a bug or is a design fail, but shelves should have all the features of storage zones.
Shelves should be nameable, you should be able to target them from production tables, and anything else you can do with a zone you should be able to do with a shelf.

Trying to place sandbags in shallow water.

What happened:  Can't place sandbags in water.

Sandbags go in water it's what they are most often used for IRL.

If you try to make sandbags on water in 1.1.2548 it won't work.
