November 13, 2013, 10:58:07 PM
Version Found - 2.54b
Title - Batteries not draining.
Summary - Batteries won't drain no matter how electricity is used..
Steps to Reproduce - Load the save game, batteries won't discharge.
Expected Results - I would expect the batteries to discharge if I'm using more then I'm producing.
Actual Results - Batteries remain full no matter the load

General Discussion / Re: Why are the AI so Tough?
November 08, 2013, 03:28:27 AMQuote from: Tynan on November 08, 2013, 01:48:35 AM
Make sure you're using cover the way they do.
And in 254b you can try Callie Classic, since Cassandra proved to be a bit overhard for a lot of people.
I use turrets as mines. If I place the sandbags right the take cover right next to death.
Raiders take cover near turrets, then continue to attack them and they explode setting off the blasting charges. Way too OP but required in this stage of development.

Bugs / Re: [M 0.0.250] Pathing Over Rocks
November 08, 2013, 03:08:11 AMQuote from: nja on November 08, 2013, 02:56:32 AM
I am seeing this behavior as well. Even with a straight path not on rocks, the pawns seem to want to go *out of their way* to go over the rocks.
I get this problem with all actions except when I send a drafted colonist to arrest a wandering traveler/rescue, then they divert around obstructions as you would expect.

Problems galore but I'm loving the game and the dev (Tynan) is extremely active in forum.
Godspeed sir, godspeed.

I've realized, that I have no idea where my saves are located. A search for "Save" and "Saved Game" turned up nothing on the forum search, and I also didn't get any help from Google. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Bugs / Re: goods landing on the drop beacon
November 08, 2013, 01:12:57 AM
I'm in build 254, windows vista ultimate. My beacon wasn't destroyed, it was my stockpile. In the attached picture the M-16's are on the edge of what used to be my stockpile, it was destroyed when they dropped after purchase.

General Discussion / Re: So, I keep dying
November 07, 2013, 11:13:02 PM
You don't have to dig into the mountain but you should use it to set up a defensible starting area. Use the terrain to funnel raiders to where you want to engage them. Look at my killing area in the pic I posted, I don't even have to have the turrets on, the raiders will take cover right by them and attack them until they explode and take out a whole crew, I can hold the area by the door with only 3 colonists.
TLDR: I use turrets as mines the raiders set off by attacking

General Discussion / Re: A bug or feature?

it disappears right away or after the wall is built? I've seen my colonists haul away debris to make room for something I'm building on top of it.

General Discussion / Re: Too Much Fire/Wont go away

What I do is clear vegetation from around structures and build a concrete walkway around them to keep fire from spreading to them. Let it burn I say, saves me the trouble of cutting it myself lol.

Bugs / Re: Fire flghting outside of Home Zone
November 07, 2013, 02:54:50 AM
I only have problems like this if I don't draft my colonists during combat. They wander all over the place when they have nothing to do combat or no combat.
I'm fairly positive the tactical AI does not control your colonists other then to simply fire at the threat once they see it.

Bugs / Re: Can't build on a tile surrounded by sandbags
November 07, 2013, 01:58:09 AM
I've had this problem. Not only will they not build but they won't repair and I've noticed they won't pick up bodies or weapons that fall in the "squashed" sandbags.

General Discussion / Anybody else decentralize power?
November 07, 2013, 01:52:58 AM
I hate shortages that take my power with a passion, anybody else setup subsystems? Example would be my LLOD (Last Line of Defense) I'll post a pic later but it's basically a fallback point that's battery power only i.e after batteries for the section are at full charge it's cup off and turned off from the main base only to be activated in cases of emergency?
Test's have shown no predilection to catastrophic power shortages as of yet.

Ideas / Re: Draft / Undraft Everyone Button
November 06, 2013, 12:24:13 AM
Perhaps a Battlestations setting where they would go to preselected defensive positions.
