Am I missing something or is wealth generation being easy pretty much meaningless in a game that scales raids based on wealth and allows the player complete control over the difficulty? Creating wealth is not as important as keeping raiders from taking everything.

IMO, the game would benefit greatly with a more realistic economy. Supply and demand, stockpiles, consumption etc. Probably very tough on the calculations though. The balancing as it is is a bit ham fisted

I will never agree with tainted tag how the merchant or any random person who didn't see you rip it off the corpse gonna know?

Thank you for this post. You have put into words what I would have said on the subject. Can you say more? It's like you are speaking for me. The way the challenge system is setup you can tailor not your own needs. War criminals cry about war crimes, why does no one cry about helpers and saving everyone.
Also think there is too much thought going into the question. How do I prevent w hungry lynx from eating a rabbit? Cry or tame it?

I thought I was crazy until I thought kid friendly Rimworld meant how do I explain charizard roasting squirrel for dinner because I was raising a gamer instead of some minecraftian LMFAO

This is the only game where I can have my little pony, Pokémon, Magic, and basically whatever anyone would want. She's 8.

Personally I don't think it would be that hard all the options are there I'm just not sure how to enact them. My main priorities are keeping violence to a minimum and solvable. I'm mostly worried about random event stuff I guess but I am sure you all can show me some other pitfalls.

There are probably easier games to make kid friendly but this is the only game I can think of where the storytellers are so malleable to the gamers' desire

General Discussion / Re: How do you guys play RimWorld?
October 01, 2021, 03:04:53 AM
at this point I usually have a crazily powerful character around to see how much crazy stuff they can do during raids. I haven't gone too crazy on mods and I've gotten a lot of value out of that. When things get a little stale play around with another mod. Although a lot of times I will sit there laying down and deleting plans.

Sometimes I am focused on the game entirely other times I am playing something else and will unpause rimworld when I get a chance.

I get a lot of enjoyment looking at different seeds or generating random pawns. Finding seeds is especially fun for me

General Discussion / Re: Body parts prices inflation?

Imo harvesting organs is lucrative enough that a price increase is a quality of life thing if you are going to be exploitive and a wealth punishment if you are keeping them in reserve

General Discussion / Re: This game is quite uninformative.

Clicking the info button is very helpful. I've learned a lot about game and different items/ mechanics just by clicking that i button whenever I see it.

transhumanism biosculpture seems pretty nice. Throw someone in and they get healed plus a permanent injury healed. Also ability to give long term mood buff and de aging. Takes a long time though so it doesn't Pay off until you are established

I agree I have also had this problem. I haven't had a chance to try it yet but I put doors around the animal flaps of the barn  that I close when a raid happens. I have an allowed zone that's just the inside of the barn Im going to switch them to. Might be a pain to get them reassigned to the pen after it's safe.

Btw the English was good.
