Lol the topic is still smallest ideas! I dident read all 30 pages so i just post some very small thigs coming to my mind.

No exploding turrets. Breaking and burn a bit is ok to me.
No Burning metal walls. a littel bit dmg is ok but no burning.
More Hp for the walls i dont think you can shoot a metal wall into shreds with guns. (Maybe more expanisve alternativ wall with no roofig and power (same texture) but atleast more protektion)
Hidden door, enemys cant see the door aslong nobody use it. (Maybe to op)
The option to forbidding your people to use previously selected doors.
I also read diffrent carpet colors rlly good idea.

Hmm a dwarf fortress mod does something very simular but icant remeber the name xP vehicles and stuff would be verY difficult. Maybe researching and produce tools to make the travel faster(more likly to be succesfull) would be awesome but i would not even bother iv these items could not be seen or just being on a list of equipment.
i would be awesome when there are things like massages from story teller like at the start:your explorers packing the muffalo with equipment and start teir journay. Later: your explorers tracking down some riders with a (any tracking device or skill) we may see them walk out of the map of the edge with some packed muffalos sometimes giving us a massage until they found a target (could be random or you could choose iv its a trading exploration, a mining operation, or an assult agaist raiders or else)

The suggestion kina changed a bit but okay :-) repair.. Well i rlly dont like how the turrents explode way to mutch damage and not mutch logic i think, usally turrents wont explode meaking a chain reaktion and fuck up your whole defense. Also bushfire and molotovs burining metal walls down is a issue with that.
I lready have problems because i have no metal and leaving the base is dangerous it would eat up all my metal from trading.

Awww bummer that sucks a bit but he could make the a lot map bigger with some diffrent biomes with fog of war we would not rlly know whats happening. Thats all i could think off to solve this problem xD. The bigest size of the map is still rlly small i could make the hole map a big base as soon i got some new settlers. always a bit more after a good amount of time im expanding it to the edge.
at my actual games no raiders apear i let the move on fastest speed since 30min but still nothing just drops and trade ships...
maybe because of the 2 big graveyards of enemys and all the blood split over the place around my base...

okay now they are attacking. waait why is this guy called gay? xD
20 guys attacked me only 2 survived it and could flee i having issues keeping my enemys alive to capture them...

I rlly like such games like Dwarf fortress rimworld prison architect and others but one thing bugs me rlly badly.
The fact i will never leave my small place or i cant go out of the edge of the map.
yeah i know about the ship you could build to finish the game even tough i dont rlly like that idea, i mean i want to explore more of the world like send some settlers out of the map building a outpost meeting other camps and so on, while i still can switch back to my base to look whats happening there. ( i know its pretty alpha and there will be nothing like this in a loong time or maybe never) but are there any plans to move out of the boarders of the map making a second camp or exploring the world a bit? I always feelt prisoned in Dwarf fortress at some point my base get unbeatable no matter whats attacking me or social problems also not big of an issue and the game was actually getting bit boring so i had to start over.

I looked for it and im sure some people suggestet this a long time ago but i could not find a post like that so just in case, id like to mention there are way to less things to make your people happy. I got a nice comfort Base good energy Carpet all over no dirt (all clean) and big sleeping places for evry singel settler.
But still they dont rlly  like it, just 2 or 3 like it and give me +5 in happines thats waaaaay to less! a dead body after defending your base gives you around -16 for 4x times seeing a dead body which is natural after a fight. i also made the paste machine giving me -8 making the pleasent enviroment pretty damn useless. i have nice and confort base still i hold them there with fear?! i actually would be better of taking out all light and beating up my prisoners which i dont rlly want to do.

what i want:
Happines Increase:

1.Light simple when darkness makes fear, light should make them a bit happy

2. pleasent enviroment shold give me bit more like +10 at least (after planting a big bunch of plants it becomes a beautifull enviroment but still i cant plant them evry where i need some space so most of the time while they are at the farm or else they think it looks bad)

3. Big personal rooms should give me a bonus i gave thema bed, table a chair a lamp and some plants and space to walk around 4x5 big rooms.

4.paste dispenser shold not make them unhappy atleast not that strong or give me a good alternative to make better food.

my english is not perfect pls consider this iv somethings seems to be odd.

I heard about that game from AngryJoe show it seemd to be intresting but not rlly my type of game :-).
I know that stupid handholdig view from today i like to do it my self and organize things. Good example i loved Dragon age Origins but wow the scond one was so dumb and bad...
Another new example is this X series damn what a nice times i had.. Devs lets make it casual handholding mainstream and Call it X rebirth lets take 7 years of development and then dump that *** on or trustet fans head. unplayable junk is what we got X stillbirth...

lightning conductor?
I dunno iv thats the right word it would absorb lightning keeps ur stuff save. Also it could be used to get a lot of energy at once, but iv the batteries are already full the battery/s will explode.


Crafting:
Crafting by workshops but im pretty sure that is comming because we should be able to craft us some weapons (weapon smith traid is a hint), yeah we can collect rlly mutch weapons of the killed enemys but i think at the start we have also just a gun and with randy random mod it would make things easyer :-)

Traps:
Also crafted id like to have some traps beside this Mine,  a regular mine, Beartraps or somthing more fun maybe you people have a
good idea ;-).

Power generator.
It would be nice to have something generating power without the need of beeing outside or on a geysir, maybe burn something or let a settler use a dynamo bicycle xD

Taser:
A short ranged not rlly accurate gun which stuns enemys so you can catch them easyer without killing.

Research:
Something agaist the dying plant event blight or something, reduce the lose around the half so you still have some food.

Thats just some suggestions :3. I wrote already i know lot of them wont be implemented, i think it could be a addition making carpet out of metall looks not logical to me (it bugs me a tiny bit) but iv its ressource it could fit, there is not even a need for additional recoursses.
Stone, wood and animal hide are my suggestions he could use barly evrything he likes as a ressource :-).

The game cant stay in his current form forever (game depth, im fine with setting and else i just want some more things to do) so i suggest things that changes something adding more depth in the game. I will make alot more suggestions, maybe out of place or rlly fitting. As mutch as i read there are medival people and Machine God evrything we might emagine :-).

Im also not that sure about repair/haul bot, it depends on how strong enemys will be in this game for simple raids like now its a bit overpowered, but iv aliens like Zergs or Cyborgs /Android it worth considering.

(About me)
First off hi im Bainin im 21 years old and from switzerland so my english is not perfect. So in case you people cant understand me pls tell me :-)
I played Dwarf Fortess like 200 - 400 hours and i love games like this so i have alot of ideas and suggestions to make the game better.
I know alot of suggestions may cant be implementet or it takes a long time. Im happy iv the dev read them at least.
I had no time to read other suggestions or patch note i go later to that.

Sugestions:

Ressource: Change Metal icon into normal Ressource icon and make Metal a recours of high value adding some trees (maybe can be planted by the players) as a medium value ressource (reproduceable) and Stone/animal hides (maybe somthing else) very low Value ones.

Trees: as mentioned it would be nice iv there where a sparse amount of trees you can harvest, maybe be able to buy seed from Trader or Research to plant them ur self.

Windmill: Energy source weaker then Solar but works day and night (have to be outside)


Robots: you could build robots for single easy tasks like cleaning (robots work only indoor cant move on sand/dirt) the robots have to use Energie in order to reload they could go to a player build platform (where the bot wait for use and recharge)  iv energy runs out before they reach the platform they will stay still and wont move so players have to haul them to recharge spot. The robots also could go crazy making evrything dirty or atack people.
Robot idea list: Cleaning bot, repair bot, haul bot.

Research:
Robot technology (high end/end game) you could need this research in order to research diffrent robots (or buy recepie of traders which would be rare and/or also have to be studied)
