When the game crash, the normal logfile is the best solution. Use the button at the option to access the logfile location.
To create a hugslib upload you even can use the green button at the error console, but to open the console you need to have developer mode enable, then the top left icon.

Hi,
i see 2 patches at the error msg.
You can try to find these patches at the patch list, maybe you can find the mod which made them.
Fastest way to get the patch list, when you use the hugslib feature to upload the log, then the patches are below the modlist.

1. mod list get reseted because of a critical error. But normaly you should notice that because the log window will show up.
2. Modconfig.xml couldn't get saved, because that file or whole folder is write protected, then maybe just delete the AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios folder. It will recreated after the next RW start.
3. .... because of that you volume where appdata is locatated is full.

But once you loaded your 1.3 savegame into 1.4 and saved it, the chances to use that savegame at 1.3 are lower special when you use mods.

Not a bug.
All pawns (animals,friendly,enemy) are digging their way out if they can't find a pathing out.
This was added longtime ago, to prevent that you easiely can trap these pawn.
And pawn will leave the map if they can't survive at the map anymore.

Now we can discuss how a chicken can dig throuh the mountain, but Rimworld simpliefy that to all pawns. Not everything is realistic.

Click at the stuff at the zone to select the stuff.
Then click again on the stuff but not too fast so it isn't recognize as double click and it would select the zone below.
Or general, it can happen that alot stuff is at the same tile. Then just use the "trianle down" icon next to the "i" to select the next thing at the same tile.

Let me guess, you use like me the DRM-free version.
Yes the notification top left isn't working right anymore.
They push the update to sendowl but they don't update the server about that notification.
And i don't want point the devs to that anymore since they more or less abandon their home-forum too.
Just be sure, that all parts (basegame and DLCs) hav the same version number. At last you can see these when you download them.

There are 2 things with size.
<size> is how much space that item would take on the map.
<drawSize> is how big the grafic would be shown.
When you changed the size from 1,1 to 1,2 but don't change the drawsize too you wouldn't see any change. But the pawn wouldn't be able to enter the other tile.
That is what i am thinking, since i am not a real modder.

When you got error without any mods.
Just delete (not uninstal) the whole gamefolder and reinstal it. It is a common problem that you got leftover files from old versions and uninstal won't delete these.

It is allways the question how non-violence you want the game.
Killing and butchering colony animals at example, for farm-kids a normal behavior but for city-kids maybe traumatic.
You can use the basebuilder option for story teller to disable raid and/or  disable these events with the scenario editor.
But whats about mental breaks, like berserk/killing spree.
You maybe need to disable the whole social thing.

But then the question what you have still left of Rimworld.

But to disable all the gameplay things you don't want have, you need to learn modding to disable them.
But i think some of these gameplay mechancis are hardcoded and can't be modified with just XML patches, that mean you need to learn C# too and find the mechanic at the core.dll.
Not a simple task for a beginner.

You maybe should consider to give your kid some lego/playmobil games or other kids game like slime-rancher.

At the current state most websearch engines are pretty clever, you should compress your question in one sentense (how do I disable sappers?) and maybe add to the search text for what it is needed (Rimworld).
It is important that you use the right words, special if there are some theme related terms (sappers).
Mosttimes you get plenty results.
Ofcouse you can search at the related website and use the search function there too.
Like for Rimworld the biggest mod database, the steam workshop.
A simple search for sappers allready give you the result you ask for.

Yes, without steam you only can get the latest version.
But i don't think you should even play 1.1 or 1.2 anymore.
Yes psycast and such crap are DLC content, but you can find alot mods that add similar.
Where did you look for mods ? This forum ?
Forget it, many modder left the forum and only published their mods at steam workshop only.
You should check my 1. signature link about that.
Even when some mod-dev didn't upgrade his project anymore, maybe someone else pickup it and made a 1.3 version.

Btw. i am stuck at 9999.

Hi,
you are right. from 1.0 to 1.3 there arn't any big changes.
Just some bug fixes, some improvments and maybe what i forget.
When you still play a colony at 1.0 stay with 1.0.
But when you want start a new one you should switch to 1.3 !!
At last to use latest mods since mods don't get developed for 1.0 anymore.

New content only comes with the DLCs.
At last royalty got many nice stuff like new mechs, psychic power and royalty title chain to become the new emperor.
Maybe watch some playthough videos from others about Royalty and Ideology.

Very easy, just remove all mods ! :-)
But do you see any modname at the msg. ?
Maybe ask at these mod discussion about it.

And next time you posting something somewhere, try to read the topics on top first. They give out useful information. Or why do you think they are on top?
