Ideas / FTL-style decision making dialogs?

Will there be / is there many decision making opportunities in RimWorld? To be more specific, those popups you would get in FTL when you reach a new start or the questions they would ask you in Oregon Trail.

For exp: You are being contacted by a few settlers, do you allow them to join you or warn them that they will be shot on sight.

Or: One of your (crew? settlers? prisoners?) have grown extremely sick from an unknown virus. Do you (a) treat the victim with the risk of spreading the sickness or (b) execute the victim to protect the others.

(1) Would it possible to add a story overview once your base has fully fallen and you have lost? Maybe a small computer log overviewing some of the major events. Would be cool to re live the story with a quick broad overview from another perspective. This might help with the storytelling feel of the game.

(2) Maybe at the end of a game we could read a journal that one or a few of your citizen kept during the game. Another way to relive the game from another point of view. I love that the focus of this game is story telling, I think this might add a lot to that aspect.

(3) Is there a combat log? Something that gives you details of a firefight as they happen.

(4) A huge part of FTL is being able to upgrade your devices. Are you able to (or any plans on being able to) upgrade turrets, walls, power, weapons, skill training, food production, ect.

(4) Any further thoughts into adding a few lower Z-levels?

(1) What would you say is a estimated time difference in release between Colonist (public alpha) and Influencer (end of kick starter)?

(2) How playable will the game be for the early alpha that starts at the end of kick starter?

(3) Please tell me you are reconsidering the no z-level, 2d only map. Even if its only 6 or 8 levels of depth.... that would add a lot to the game.

(4) Do people have skills? Are some better at repair, weapon skills, farming ect. If so are they able to level these skills up? (like in FTL)

(5) Any current melee weapons? If not any plans on adding any?
