Scenario: Cold environment, temperate forest. Very little in terms of growing season, after building a very basic shelter I build a research bench, I then research hydroponics. Create another room, place hydroponic benches in the room, I have a solar panel and batteries enough to power the hydroponics with sun lamps. Sun lamp reaches the 3 benches I have in the room. My colonists don't plant on them and started to suffer from starvation. So i checked priorities, selected two colonists with just growing selected... still nothing. I put a heater in the room, thought maybe the room was to cold and nope. I then zoned a growing area outside (i never bothered at the beginning as it was just to cold for plants to grow) and the colonists started planting. Been playing this game for six months now, any idea fellow fans?
