Any update on the 1.0 version? I saw there was some progress towards an update on github, but sadly no release yet.

Seconded. I'd love to see this updated. I love this mod.

Mods / [Request] Larger Maps
November 13, 2018, 08:46:02 AM
Back in the olden days the maximum map size was 425 x 425, not the dinky 325 of today.

Would be nice to go back to it.

I loved those huge maps.

Description
Want to push your new gaming bench to its limit? Default map sizes too small? Can't find the Goldilocks size map? Create your custom map sizes with this mod.

Permissions
Do whatever you want. Make it better, wrap it in something else. Though I'd appreciate it if you notified me.

Compatibility
Across my 104 mods I have no compatibility issues, since basically nothing else changes the Advance Settings Dialog.

Notes
Doesn't work in 1.0/0.19 as the Advance Settings Dialog is rewritten, but it's a relatively easy change that I can make once the final release is out.
Note that larger maps will break your games or completely crash it from lack of memory. The largest stable map size I manage to make was 750x750 which lagged like crazy.

The final release is out. Please update!

Can anyone verify that the attachment above is legit?

Thanks for that question. Would have been nice if one of those who downloaded it had left a comment.

To clear all doubts of legitimacy I've created a gitlab account where you even can see my real name (don't know how to change that).

Linky no worky.

So is this working in 1.0 now?
#6
Okay, how exactly do you install the mod off of gitlab?

The B19 version works well, except some minor bugs, in 1.0. It's not because a mod is in red on the mod manager that's is going to crash or anything.

What kind of bugs?

Another waiting for an update.

Does this mod still include forced incompatibility?

Ideas / Re: Nutrient Paste Dispensers

The benefit of feeding prisoners is it counts as social contact for the sake of converting them to your cause...

And yeah, having paste be easier to digest would be a good idea as an additional bonus.

Ideas / Nutrient Paste Dispensers

Being a player of the early alpha, I know why they were in the game. For a long time they were honestly the only option for early meals. But these days they've been made redundant by cook stoves, and for some groups they're even impossible to build without a lot of research.

Except for a couple niche situations they're really not that useful anymore. They're space and resource intensive and even a basic meal is better than them.

To give them a bit more use I'd like to suggest allowing them to use Hay as a feed stock. If you're just reprocessing organic matter, the original form shouldn't matter and it would give them an additional level emergency practicality.

Mods / Re: Valve planning to monetize mods (again)
February 14, 2017, 08:06:51 AM
It only applies to Rimworld if Tynan allows it, and considering he's recently edited the TOS expressly to make paid mods forbidden, it's not bloody likely.

@Psyckosama
I'm planning to implement similar functionality, but won't be using B&B itself.

Cool.

Nope. I don't plan to put any of my stuff on steam; having mods locked behind a wall of DRM that legitimate owners of the game cannot access because they use the DRM Free version of RimWorld is not something I support or would engage in. While I could do something like putting a link to the forum in the mod description, I have had a strong dislike of Steam ever since they tried their paid mods scheme and would just prefer not to use it at all.

Honestly I'd suggest that strongly. Steam's Autoupdate feature is extremely useful.

QuoteAdding to that, they're trying paid mods AGAIN. So don't expect to see anything of mine on the workshop.

It doesn't apply to Rimworld. Expressly forbidden in the TOS.

That said here's hoping when they do they don't do it like idiots. Having a built in Tips-Jar or a built in  "Patreon" style function would be a world better than the idiocy of selling mods.
