You could create a new layer similar to the temperature one.
And a new need like the rest and hunger.

However, I clearly remembered Tynan said it was far too complex (AI behavior when confronted to complex choices) compared to the interest.

I feared the AI part. Basically I wanted to make a complete overhaul and make oxygen a factor. Outside would be considered an oxygen less environment which would be the equivalent of the cold and the interiors filled with air which would be like heat. My only dabbling in modding was re textures so I wanted to know if this was plausible before going in and re doing all the sprites and stuff.

I basically want to make a moon survival overhaul.

Hello, I am relatively new to modding Rimworld. I was pondering if it was possible to modify the temperature system to simulate oxygen and its flow. I have dug around only a bit but wanted to know from more experienced people if this sounds even remotely possible.

Remember that the rimworlds we land on were at some point terraformed by terraforming drones.

EDIT: Forgot to mention my opinions  I think it's a great idea, and I've personally wanted something like this for quite some time.

Even so I think it would be awesome to have the chance to land on a barren airless rock and have to worry about temperature on top of oxygen and making airlocks.

Like I said its probably within the realm of modding now. I thought about it but school and work eat my time up bad.

I like the idea of having oxygen levels being an element like temperature. I have been wondering recently too if the current temperature features could be hijacked and use to simulate air.

Maybe later on in the game if its considered.

So far in my play through geothermal vents in a cave with a cieling will raise the temperature around it.

I actually had my generator explode because it got to 100c. I had to mine a vent leading to the cold outside for cooling.

you can not mine walls (and anything NOT built by your colonists) until you CLAIM them with the orders red flag, THEN you can dismantle them

I encountered a small limestone room within a mountain. However I cannot mine it down or remove it. Am I missing something here? Or is this a bug.

So I was purchasing Rimworld last night, I put in all of my information and made a payment. I have somewhat poor vision at certain points of the day so it turns out that I did not notice my email address was filled out properly. As a reflex I hit cancel as it was making the payment, I immediately knew that the money went through. However since it was also my day off work and I had a bit of rum I decided to make another purchase this time with my correct information.

Anywho I checked my bank account to see if I was charged two times, I was. I am hoping to get one of those payments refunded. Yes I know my case is hilariously foolish but stuff happens. As far as I know too the support section of the forum is the only place to post this.
