Nope, I have backers and customers, and they've all already gotten everything they were promised, barring a few final fixups.

EDIT: Of course we're still adding new goodies for everyone, but the game is there and I'm pretty happy with the state of it.

I am going to just say, if Development stopped and all we had for Future content was what the modding community provided us, I would feel like I got my moneys worth and be very pleased.

Well, it has to have some negative effect in order to balance the good effects - otherwise it will start to unbalance the game. Weed that just makes people happy isn't good (for balance).

There could be weed that makes you tired after awhile. Or less productive and slower workers.  As for unhappy - I'm not a smoker, so whenever I've had some, I felt bad the next day (and unhappy) - hard to take a breath, bad taste in my mouth, and even worse if I exercised the next day.  Of course, there's always the pot brownies, which would solve that.

Well it sounds like you and I have two completely different experiences. But I do understand balance needing to be in place and I think making you less effective or slowed for a time would be a great counter balance. Something like -50% Work speed until rested? Or maybe you get the Munchies and your pawn eats like double the meals until the effect has worn off. But for the majority, marijuana isn't like Alcohol or hard drugs where there is a hangover period or a depression state. Of course there is always the option of making this a different drug then marijuana and instead call it by a different name? Just tossing thoughts out there

Why would they go from Happy to Sad after inhaling or digesting marijuana? I don't know anyone who has gotten depressed after using it Medically or for recreational purposes. Would be interested in the thought behind this.

The port to Alpha 9 is already complete. It will be released the day Alpha 9 is released.

I will sit there and re-roll a hundred times until I get the three that can do all jobs and work really well together. Well that was until I got come prepared they I re-rolled until I got the three I liked then saved them. Now I use them and the only thing that I changed from the original was the age on one of them (way to old to be our miner).

I think it would be fun if Raiders would steal items when they attack. I usually set my first trade beacon outside my kill room so if they pod drop they have to go into the kill room of death. My second beacon sits inside my base and that's the one I load up with sell able goods and all my silver sits outside my base because that where the trades deliver my stuff.

So today I was being raided and watch a whole slew of fellows walk right past 8K silver to try and kill my 8 guys. This got me thinking about how much more it would hurt if they instead turned around and hauled of stacks of my silver and B-Lined it to the edge of the map.

Now I would understand Creatures, Aliens, or monsters would maybe have different interests but Some Raiders should want monetary riches > death. I think this would be a fun turn around that would require a change in the mindset of just leaving riches laying unguarded.

Thoughts?

I wasn't too sure if Rimworld was my game when I decided to look into it (never played Dwarf fortress or the Gnome one) but after a short time I have fallen in love with this game. So much in fact that I would like to mine and my Wife's name in the game. I understand that in order to get hers I will need to buy the $45 pack, but my question is could I pay the difference and upgrade my current $30 one? And if so how high could I upgrade it to?
