General Discussion / Re: Exploiting Man Hunter Packs.

Why would the colony be flanked? There's one way in. Both of them have to come in through that same entrance, after, of course, they fight each other to the death outside. Whoever wins has killed the loser and may have lost or damaged units, weakening them for the defenses.

It *may* sound racist, but i'm curious how much i would need to pay for a wallet from non-white human skin, like seriously, even in Rimworld human skin is only white ;d
It wouldn't matter. The process of preserving and tanning the leather destroys most of the finer natural tones of the hide. That's why cow-leather products are just brown, and not cow-printed.

Well, anything can tear anything to pieces. I've seen a mechanoid get torn apart by a squirrel. But do you really care who wins when it comes down to mechanoids vs. wargs? Either the wargs kill the mechanoids and you get free mechanoid corpses, or the mechanoids kill the wargs and you get free wargmeat. Win/win.

Devilstrand cannot be grown hydroponically because the occurrence time between solar flares is shorter than the time it will take to grow: Thus it will never reach completion and always will be killed when the power dies. Growing in a growhouse is more feasible since you only have to keep the growhouse from freezing, which can be done even in the absence of power by using FIRE. The temporary loss of the light will only cause a minor delay, not a complete loss.

Brain damaged colonists have many uses. You can stick their bed in the dining hall and disable all their jobs just so they can give the social chat bonus to otherwise lone diners.
Although you'd think their conversational depth would be limited:
"So, how was your day?"
"Timmeh!"

Shouldn't they only learn about the traps if raiders survive to return home and tell of it?

I hunt with GRENADES. Their short range and AOE means they will practically never miss, even when employed against those damn ninja turtles.

No, never heard of that. My father used to own a bakery and never heard of using bones.
I'm guessing bakeries don't suffer from regular home invasions that give them a sufficient supply of invader bones to grind into bread, then. Traditional bread, from what I understand, is made from grinding these bones.

Isn't this how bread is made? I've never entirely understood bread. I just know from the legends that it is apparently made from grinding bones somehow.
#11
And then they get horribly killed or kidnapped and enslaved by pirates. Maybe if colonists can reproduce there will be an actual real use for those double beds other than being pretentiously huge.
#12
Yeah, you should be able to make bread out of the bones somehow.

[Video] A tearful five-year girl is horrified that we chop up animals and eat them. It looks like RimWorld is adding children, they will learn the harsh grim reality of survival.
Silly child. When I was that age, I was made to raise an animal from a baby, and then about a year later, I had to kill it. We called this "farming".

And you know why we do it? Because ANIMALS ARE DELICIOUS. If we weren't meant to eat animals, WHY ARE THEY MADE OF MEAT?

WAR TURTLES. Because man, those turtles are deadly. I had a single turtle fight and defeat like a bajillion tribals. THERE WERE NO SURVIVORS. Many were shot in the back by their own teammates, others bled out or starved to death from vicious turtle bites, including several bitten-off legs. The turtle itself succumbed to its wounds, having sustained crippling brain damage which caused it to starve to death due to being unable to move to eat.

I dunno about you, but I'd have put my base so that those 3 geothermal vents would have been INSIDE the base instead of abandoned and useless on the OUTSIDE...if I were the kind of nutter that built bases simply exposed to death from above like some clearly non-dwarf individual. Ugh. And where did you even FIND that many stones chunks to position like that?
