Its not supported but what you can do is save all the game files in another location (so steam wont update those files) and then launch the "old" version .exe from that location. Its not ideal at all but I have used it for some games.

I am also waiting on Steam release. I understand wanting to have a lot of content as releasing on steam will bring in a lot of new ppl. I prefer to not use paypal and I like having all my games in one place. (Im not worried about Steam yanking all my games for DRM reasons) Until then its waiting and watching LPs on youtube. I am hoping to see Rimworld on Steam in 2014. We shall see though.

I was looking at the change log and saw all the biomes that were added. Just wanted to put in a request for an arctic/ snow biome. Maybe that tundra will be snowy? Anyway I LOVE snow maps and am hoping to build my colony from ice blocks

I know the game will be put on steam when it is ready to be put on steam. But can anyone give a rough estimate of when that will be? I have had issues with paypal in the past and am trying to hold out till I can pay in another way. Game looks amazing!!! I cant wait to actually play it.

Yes I know that thread contains a similar discussion. I actually posted on it. But there is no solution or alternative given in that thread if I do not want to use paypal. My problem is not getting paypal to work (which was the main point of the thread you linked). I do not want to use paypal and was wondering if there was any information about when the game would be available through other means for example Steam or GoG.

I was wondering if their is a time estimate for when the game will be available from a source other than paypal? I know paypal works fine but I have had issues with it in the past and really do not want to use it. I would LOVE to give the dev my money though

Is there any information about when the game will be available on steam? I know it is in the process but according to steam it has been in the process since October 2013... I am in the same boat as the OP.
