Hi,

I'm one of those guys who like to color code everything to make them easy to distinguish and I do it alot for zones in Rimworld. Red for Meat, Green for Vegetables, Cyan for meds, Brown for Dump you get the idea.

This however is a bit annoying to do because to get the color you what you have to place multiple zones until you get the right color and delete the rest of the zones.

What I suggest is a button on zones that cycle the zone color to the next in line.
It doesn't have to show a big list of all the colors, cycling them will be enough.

I have no idea if this would even be possible especially not now with the new restriction zone which can be unjoin spots all over the map.

Please give this idea some throughs.

Best Regards

I quality of life improvement.

How about a button on zones (grow, stockpile...) next to delete and rename that cycle the color of the zone. Not necessary to a random color just the next in line of colors.

if you turn the roof area into a room then apply the "no roof area" it will remove the thin roof

Yeah, that is whow it nomally works, but because of this bug it doesn't.
That is why I'm asking if anyone have found a workaround we can use untill the next version of the game.

Seems to be a bug in A10

Have anyone found a temporary workaround for this?
So far I have tried:

  • Mortors
  • Exploding turrets
  • Tool: Explosion (bomb)
  • Tool: Lightning strike
  • Tool: Destory
  • Tool: 5000 damage
  • Building tall building underneath
  • Def edit
  • Save file edit.

The only way I have found is to use Tool: Clear area 21x21 and mining out more, but both options remove abit more of the terrain then I would like.

Hi,

I have found a way to reproduce it.
There is a slow and a quick way.

Slow.
1. Create new world
2. Create new colony on the new world
3. Start alot of fires
4. Time accelerate until almost everything is burned down.
5. Save Colony
6. Repeat step 2-5 until the error occur

Quick.
1. Create new world
2. Edit new world setting nextThingId to 5420000 (Remember to save)
3. Create new colony on the new world
4. Start modest amount of fires
5. Time accelerate until the error occur.

It seems the magic number is 5.492.076.
When a fire with Id 5492076 or higher starts the error occurs
