in the mods list, it's inked in red and says 'Unknown version'.

That can easily be fixed by just adding the line <targetVersion>0.16.1393</targetVersion> immediately under the <url></url> line with a good xml editor like Notepad+.

1. Are you actually using the alpha 14 beta version of Prepare Carefully. The link for it is in the third paragraph of the first post.

2. If you are, then what exactly is going wrong as your reply is pretty much worthless as it stands. You're not giving any useful information as to why the beta build, which is working perfectly fine for most people, isn't working for you.

Is it possible for someone to port this to Steam? I downloaded it and jammed it into my mods folder, yet can't access it with Steam : (

Are you sure that you are actually putting the mod in the correct area? It should go in a directory that looks similar to the following:

Steam\steamapps\common\RimWorld\Mods

If you can't find it, then open up steam and then right click on RimWorld and go to properties. Then go to local files then browse local files which should open up the main RimWorld folder. Open up the mods folder and then extract (with WinRar or 7-zip) the file that you downloaded into the mods folder. Then go in game and activate Prepare Carefully.

If you're waiting for an update, please read the above. It'll still be at least another week if not more before we will see an update.
