I had an idea for pilings, which would be like bridges but double the cost and longer to build, but would support walls. I miss being able to make cool swamp colonies on the edge of ponds.

If the turret isn't shooting at them, why would they attack it? Also, certain smaller animals shouldn't be able to damage turrets as easily as they can now, like squirrels.

I have another caravan idea, Camps. It would be nice to be able to set up a temporary camp, maybe it would automatically reform after a month. They would spawn on a map halfway between the encounter map size and the regular one.

I was kind of surprised to come back and see the image thing still happening, I remember when it was new, IIRC I started it.

The one thing that I think needs to desperately improved is the way vegetation doesn't grow back after the first winter. It only grows back in the edges of the map, which is frustrating as the map looks so barren with just exposed soil, and you have less access to healroot and berries if they don't grow everywhere.

One time I raided a pirate base successfully but a colonist got an infection, so I settled it as a colony so they could treat the injury before heading home. I kept the pirate buildings as a second colony that I thought I might come back to to deconstruct and mine at, but a raid of three raiders attacked it. One with a gun, one with frag grenades and the other with Molotov cocktails, and somehow the grenadiers both died through their own incompetence. The pirates gained literally nothing from that raid as they jsut destroyed some shacks and didn't even steal the few things I had left behind (a dining chair and some stone bricks left over from deconstructing the doors to get into the shacks.)

I've noticed that as my pawns are loading a lot of supplies onto transport pods they don't stop to rest or eat and I think there's a bit of a pathfinding but because even drafting and undrafting them causes them to just wander around instead of eating or sleeping. It's particularly annoying since if you're doing a raid the colonists are starving, exhausted, and with really low moods when you get there.

Not even a colonist one, it's one of the dumping graves for raiders that you keep by the dumping stockpiles.

One of my colonists recently got married so his mood bar was as high as it could be, from the honeymoon effect, opinion of his wife, comfortable furniture, etc. Somehow he still started a fire while tending to a patient. Is this supposed to happen? Is the fire-starting break not tied to mood or is this a bug?

One time I took some colonists named Bubba, Cletus, and Earl and tried to set up a country gift shop/ museum and ranch but everyone ended up dying before I could get started.

It might also be nice to have some kind of orbital or atmospheric ship we could use for transport and this stage of the game.

This could be similar to the peace talks agreement. Say a tribe was raiding you and lost some raiders, and a colonist was kidnapped. You should be able to bring the bodies of tribespeople back to them and get the colonist's body back if they died after being kidnapped, and there should be an opportunity to exchange prisoners for prisoners or pay ransom.

Rename "Infection" to "Gangrene".

It doesn't make sense though how just being outdoors makes everything seem ugly. Maybe "ugly" should be renamed "roughness" or something like that so it makes more sense. I still think colonists should get some benefits from seeing beautiful landscapes.
