Really a nice story, written in a marvellous way! I'm eager to read more!

General Discussion / Re: Pawn logic question

This usually happens with berries and corn, that pawns can eat raw and that are preferred to easy meals since are more "gluttonous".

I solve this simply by not cultivating them.

Also, placing your meals stockpile closer to the pawn helps.

Almost all of the above is nonsense.

I don't have time to discuss everything wrong with it, but, believe me, there is a lot.

Good lord, so many wrong things...

If you read the lore of Rimworld, you'll notice that there are no true "alien" things around, but everything comes from earth. Even creatures like trumboes and giant spiders are genetically modified terran animals. So no, i don't think "alien names" would fit into that.

And rimworlds are called do because they are at the rim, they're forgotten and there are no true forms of government that could enforce laws outside of existing cities and villages.

Nothing strange. Randy is, by definition, random. As you can expect anything from him, a 5vs4 situation is dtill a good situation!

And that's a really good narrative.

General Discussion / Re: Tame animals refuse to breed
October 07, 2015, 09:41:50 PM
I've had the same problem. My muffalos are breeding without any problem, but my labradors are simply refusing to do anything. They're a 3 years old female and a 4 y.o. male, so I don't think it has something to do with age.

In Dwarf Fortress animals, like dwarves, can be homosexual or simply uninterested in mating, but i don't think there is anything similar in rimworld.

Personally I would like to see both space trading and local trading.

Local trading would be the same as now, maybe nerfed a bit to represent the difficulty and danger of going around with valuables in a world full of pirates and angry tribespeople.

Space trading instead could be a special and much rarer event. An enormous space ship, eith huge amounts of goods and silver.

Ideas / Re: HUGE NEW SYSTEM!
September 22, 2015, 02:39:13 PM
Well, a nice idea but... not for my taste. This sistem would be nice but maybe for another game. I don't see it fitting very well with the rimworld theme. Something like going from "survival on an harsh planet full of dangers" to "theme hotel"...

Off topic: this has quickly became a DF forum thread: discover a problem, analize the problem, weaponize it!

I stumbled into Rimworld while searching  for DF and Aurora 4X style games, it was named in a good number of sites and forum. Sudden love obviously!

NEW SUGGESTION: REVERSE CREMATION

Simply put, the idea is to create a "Cremate" button directly on objects to tell your colonists to burn that thing down, without the need to create a bill in the crematorium.
This would make things really simpler when you're in need of getting rid of something!

If it seems like and easy thing, I recommend you put it in the Cheap Ideas thread :-)

Yep, you're right! I'll post this idea there too, thanks for the advice!
