I'd be interested in helping you guys out in any way I can. I was really bummed CR was discontinued and my Rimworld games just haven't been the same since.

This is amazing! Multiplayer Rimworld has always been one of those things a lot of people wanted but no one could really figure out a way for it to work. A few of my friends who bought the game will be all over this once it gets a little more fleshed out. We love to play co-op games and Rimworld not having co-op was a real bummer. This is really promising and I hope you continue to improve it!

"If it makes you feel powerful in your day-to-day life, then by all means. Silence my freedom of internet and speech all at once. It feels like China already!"

Oh give me a break.

I enjoyed the previous alpha's versions of this type of mod quite a bit so I'll be keeping an eye out for this when it's released. There's nothing quite like getting a cargo pod full of joints and just vegin' out for a few days after you crash landed on an alien planet!

This is what broke Rimworld for me. You whiney "adults" who took down the GREATEST, yes, THEE greatest modpack for rimworld ever to be made, only because "wahhh wahhh people don't see my name on the list of contributors on this mod pack! WAHHHH!!" This was the greed and selfishness of humanity at it's finest. Gentz, I'm sorry bud, but the best you could do to "remake" or "Continue" UOP would be to just take the EXACT same modpack and re-upload it. Now I'm stuck with the "Modvariety pack" which has it's preks, or the TERRIBLY overcomplicated "Hardcore SK" pack. GG Rimworld. Sorry for the frustrating banter, with the new A13 update I can only imagine how much better this modpack would have made this game. If Ty took that modpack and incorporated that into the base game, he could have put that on steam for $30 and it would have sold very well.

After that you want to use the "WAHHHH" bit? Seriously? Common man. If anyone is acting like a child it's you. I've downloaded what mods are available for A13 and am enjoying myself, thank you very much. Quit acting like you're entitled to mods.

Really looking forward to this mod. Each update gets me more excited, can't wait!

Just finished my last cold run (...and died) and saw Britnoth on Zeeb's stream and he suggested Brass Monkey to make the colder maps more difficult. Also decided to give the new storyteller and SID ones a try because they looked fun. Loading it all up now and will report back!

Oh really? Awesome, will give that a shot tonight then, glad I read this now as I was just about to start up another colony.

thanks EdB for your mods and your hard work for the community ! I won't touch the A13 w/o Prepare carefully and EdB interface. Can we have a quick update as when you roughly expect to be done with them?
And thanks again ! you changed my RW experience (for the better :) )

This reminds me of a Dilbert strip. The (pointy-haired) manager called a meeting to find out why the project was (still) late, and expected daily status reports on why it was late (thus interrupt the daily workflow again) - the short of it is, everyone who's checking this corner of the forum wants to know the second this mod is working, but asking for status updates is potentially taking away from the time that could be spent working on this. I'm not speaking on behalf of EdB; just myself because I know how it feels when people do that.

Exactly. I'm fairly certain EdB realizes how much people like his mods and is working as fast as he can to get them out. The A13 versions will be here when they get here. In the meantime, there's fluffy's pawn bar to get your pawn bar fix and I'm enjoying the added difficulty of not being able to decide everything from my first colonists childhood down to what color their shoe laces are.

Take your time EdB! Your mods are awesome and I have no problem waiting a while until you can get them the way you'd like before release.

You should be safe to turn off zombies. I've done it before without issue. You might need to start a new world though.

I'd keep an eye out on the main page of this thread

Maybe the patient had an unforeseen reaction to the anesthesia. It's not unheard of, especially in very old people. I dunno if 5% is realistic but hey, it's Rimworld, if you didn't have colonists dying tragically it wouldn't be Rimworld!

Thanks for the update EdB! I'm not much of a coder so I really appreciate you working to get this and your other mods updated!

Thank you so much for releasing the mod (even if it's just the colonist bar) for a13 so quickly!

I'm getting some very long load times using this pack, even after the first time loading. Clicking on the "mods" button in the main menu also takes a very long time to load too. When I say "long time" I'm talking around 30min+ to start the game and ~10min or so to access the mods menu. Is this normal? If not, do you have any idea what's going on? From searching around on the forums I saw that there was a bug with Unity's image loading code where it would only read 1 file ever 3 seconds which could lead to long load times in modded scenarios but that was almost a year ago and back in A10. I'm using A12d (Version 0.12.914 rev777) of Rimworld.

I've played the Ultimate Overhaul Pack before on Rimworld and it would take about 15min to load up for the first time but after that it was always less than 5min or so and accessing the mods menu was basically instant. The only thing that's changed on my PC is the amount of RAM. I upgraded from 8GB to 32GB, so if anything it should be faster!

Here are my specs in case you need them: AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4Ghz processor and a GeForce 660 with 32GB of RAM running Windows 7. I can provide more if it would help figure out what's going on.

The long load times are just killing any motivation I have to play with the pack which is a shame because it looks like it'd be a lot of fun!

EDIT: Come to find it's an issue with Unity and Himachi...Don't know how that works out but disabling the Himachi Network seems to have fixed it. Such an odd bug.

I can't seem to get the game to load. After a few minutes the game goes unresponsive and I close it. I've done a fresh install, started up the game once, quit, found the config folder and deleted the modsconfig.xml there, transferred all the mods from the zip folder to the Rimworld mods folder and then cut and pasted the modsconfig from the zip file into the config folder in appdata/locallow/LudeonStudios/Rimworld/Config.

Sometimes I can start the game fine but when I click on the "mods" button in the main menu the game again goes unresponsive after a few minutes and crashes.

EDIT: I fixed it. I don't know how but the 5th time or so trying I can now load the mods menu. Takes a little while the first time but it's working. Maybe I wasn't being patient enough? I'm not sure. Thanks for putting the pack together and to all the modders who contributed! Wish my colonists luck, they're going to need it!
