Because I've gotten unofficial answers from Tynan before- an unofficial answer being one which isn't framed legally. Thanks for your concern, I doubt Ludeon would sue me anyhow.

I've been doing a RimWorld related cartoon for a few years now, I'd really like to use one of the shorter soundtrack tunes for the last episode.
I feel I have to ask permission because this series deviates so far from just being a fan vid... could I get an OK on this? A yea or nay?
Thanks

The series, of course, is not monetized.

Oh, and how exactly did you do the voices?
They're TTS voices, some of which are free, some cost money.  They come out as mp3 or wav; then I edit the audio gaps, levels, etc. in Audacity, which is free. The audio-video is assembled in sony vegas 12, which is cheap and stable.
Other ppl use the voices of course, and some of the voices are on many sites. Recently I got an aggressive pop-up with Lumpy's voice on it-- almost lol'd.

Dude, two things...
I'll keep an eye on the site, and I'll keep you in mind-- that's a very generous offer :D
No idea what project I'll be doing after this series, but I doubt I'll be doing it with TTS again.

Ok, so I have watched all the cuts, parts, and have a craving for more. What I have to say about this is that it is amazing! ;D 8)
Geez thanks! that you enjoy it... well, you never know if someone will, no matter how much you enjoy *making* something.
And you are completely right, it does follow the original LP in a sort of way. The graphics are done in ancient Flash MX, so yes, it is functionally like clip art.
The beauty of using simple figures is that I can make episodes as they occur to me, potentially quickly, adding and improvising. Drawing with a mouse sort of limits my ambition anyway.
I was hoping to reply with something neato like a gif or wallpaper, but I still haven't got anything like that done. so here's a pic from ep 26, a couple weeks away.

These are actually great. The Plasteel 'Ludeon' Electric Guitar was a nice touch.
Thanks muchly :) I was real happy with that idea- since there was no wood in the ice sheet, but there are steel guitars irl= a plasteel guitar. heh.

If you ever need help with writing id be happy to contribute to this project as well.
Beat to the punch? I think this is more like a wave from across the street. I don't need help with the writing, but I do appreciate the offer! I have too much writing, and as you'll see/hear in the later eps, the story has taken itself in a direction even I didn't imagine.
However you end up doing your project, my advice is to have mouths. lol.

"You could tell he was an optimist"
*does a little dance*
Holy crap, that cracked me up. The weird robot voices just make it funnier somehow.
Glad you think so! Thanks!!

google translate uses that voice to help you hear what you said
I'm guessing that's the narrators voice, that one is on a few different sites, sometimes under different names. Makes him a good choice for my "In A World..." type narrator.

No... I'm not sure I understand the question though.

Stories / RimWorld cartoon- under the rim

Hello!
I've been working on a pretty silly animated RimWorld story based on character in an LP by Blitzkriegsler. Tynan tweeted it some weeks ago, but I've been encouraged to post about it here too, so I am :)

It's the story of Wilfred 'Lumpy' Patel and the colony he volunteered to join.

Just so you know what you're in for, a pic. I take the sprites pretty literally o.O

You can see in the top left, Lumpy is being shooshed while visiting Christian, the pacifist undertaker, who has taken an arrow to the knee.
The series is about 40 minutes long now, covers cannibalism, backstories, conflict, hilarity, and of course death.

I usually say 'play how you want to!' though there are some interesting suggestions in the thread...

Having nice housing for the chars is always kind of nice. Like, spacious rooms with art in them!
I do like an area with not too many trees, just cause it makes it easier to see what's going on in the LP :)
