With this redone AI base generation, does this mean that enemy bases are now self-sufficient?

I don't really mind one way or the other, but releasing Alpha 17 early would mean we would get used to the reworks  before any large features get added on top of that.

I believe you can just arrest them, and then release them? Or am I missing something here?

Whenever my colonists defeat an enemy, they rescue them, give them fine meals, and a large bedroom. Even if they are useless or have 99 recruitment difficulty.

Ideas / No Sieges in Fallout/Harsh Heat or Cold

If a band of enemies start to siege you in hard fallout or a very harsh winter or summer, they tend to start dropping dead and you can easily wait them out. So, I suggest that raiders no longer siege while there is a setting deadly enough to kill them, so they do not die of radiation sickness, hypothermia, or heatstroke.

In order to fix this, you could add in a "Siege has been called off." response if one of these weather effects happens while they are besieging your colony, and the enemies feel that they can no longer hold out in the conditions presented to them, and have no sieges start in conditions they cannot survive in.

Bugs / "Stranger being chased" exploit

So, when you get a stranger being chased by a group of attackers, you can just allow them into your colony, and if you don't like their stats, you can just leave them there and the attackers will take them as a prisoner and leave. So, that means there is literally no reason to decline the stranger, as you can actively check their stats and then make your decision.

Two ways I can see that would fix this exploit would be:

1. On the screen that says the stranger wants to join, it could show the stranger's skills and health statistics.
2. Only two raiders could take the stranger off as a prisoner, while the rest attack the colony.

Hello! I'm a high school student that likes astronomy and history, I'm a big fan of management games, RPGs, and old-school strategy games... and after losing so many hours to this game, I thought I should probably join the forums.

-What introduced you to RimWorld? Or to this style of game in general?

That'd have to be a tie between Star Wars Battlefront II, Fallout: New Vegas and Crash Bandicoot: Warped.

-Most embarrassing gaming-related story?
I've never actually beaten the Binding of Isaac. Need to get on that sometime.

-What kind of breakfast cereal is the best?
Frosted Wheat Puffs. But still, bacon > all.
