Bugs / Re: Grammar mistakes

I believe some of the backstories you listed are written by players, so they are responsible for the mistakes and I don't think developers can do anything about these. The other ones should definitely be fixed though.

I think this should be in game as the current relationship system has little to no effect on the actual gameplay. Things like "My mom died" add very little to the game so this system could definitely be expanded.

Also, if such a feature was added then they could also add a buff gained when the missed colonist comes back home.

But it doesn't make sense for them to miss other colonists

Would you not miss your siblings, parents or friends if they left you for a few months?

Cool suggestion, I'd love to see a group of boomalopes filled with chemfuel run into the raiders and make an explosion as strong as the one of a nuclear bomb

I believe it is made that way to make it more visible for the player. It would be almost invisible if it was behind the tree.

I believe it would be quite complicated to add a feature like this into the game, and pretty useless at this point because even though the game is in final stages, the more important things can still be added to the game. It would be cool if they added it once the game is officially finished, though.

Ideas / Re: Torso Infection

I believe that the torso infection acts like every single infection, therefore it is as much of a death sentence as the other ones are. If you treat it right after it appears, the chances of death are pretty low. Also, if the body can live without some organs outside Rimworld, then what is the point of adding them to the game at all? That would just be an unnecessary addition, as most of the body parts which can be infected can already be removed in the game.

The idea is really cool, but I think it would be too hard to create the algorithm for that

When someone loses their head, their headgear completely disappears. This often makes me frustrated as raiders with good helmets just lose them when I accidently decapitate them. I'm not sure whether it was done on purpose or not, but I think it would be better if the hat was dropped next to the body.

I just think there should be new ways to get colonists apart from falling out of the sky or convincing prisoners.
Actually there are more ways to get more colonists like buying them from a pirate ship.

I think the idea of hostiles betraying their own factions is pretty neat, but it would be even better if the same could happen to your own colony. This might eventually lead to possibility to command colonists to join another faction and for example turn their turrets off when they are attacked by the player.

Ideas / Contagious Diseases
July 17, 2017, 03:48:10 PM
I find the current disease system pretty dull as there isn't much variation between the diseases except for different effects they have on particular areas of human body. My idea would be to make diseases a bit more of an issue by making them contagious. This would add more variation in treating the diseases as it might lead to isolating ill colonists from others. It would also make penoxycyline have more use as I personally find it useless due to the fact that the diseases appear randomly like many other events.

You can always just attack your colonist with a gladius in hope that the leg will be cut off by an accident. However, since this isn't the reliable option, the amputation without medicine should be implemented as it could also be used to torture prisoners.
