he is in friggen POWER ARMOR, mate. The armor of elite Glitterworld assault troops. He should be able to murder an army with his bare hands.

Roman soldiers were able to kill war elephants with melee weapons, particularly axes to cut at their legs. Are you suggesting a man wearing (power) armor should be much stronger than an elephant ? In World War II, civilians were able to destroy tanks with molotov cocktails. I mean people with no military training and no military weapons, only something they can find in the kitchen or basement.

To play devil's advocate, it's a pretty bad comparison to compare futuristic technology to WWI tech. A better comparison would be a drone fighting a bunch of dudes with AK47s. I'd like to see the guys with AK's shoot down a drone before they get mowed down by the drone. And that is just today's tech, presumably in the future the disparity between 'manpower' and 'technology' will be exponentially increased. I bet in the future we will have cybernetic soldiers and robots fighting wars for us, but I digress.

I feel the same as you OP, espcailly on higher difficulties. If I don't have a killbox with at least 6 turrets that refugee gotta take a trip to the school of hard shots.

Sorry for being lazy and not checking the mod myself but, how do these compare with pawns from the MAI mod?

From what I've seen so far, the MAI ones require a lot more effort into research and materials to make good robots, but they can be pretty OP with super speed and burning passion for everything. These seem easier to make but not as OP endgame.

Hay Yoshida. You signature is a bit off mate. Are you suggesting that girls are inferior? and therefore need killboxes? Are you suggesting that males are superior to females?

P.S. is it normal to get a message in the top left corner of the game telling you whether the shot infected the target or not? I am getting them even with dev mode turned off.

Yeah I got the same message pop-up. I think it was to show off the translation feature.

@Kassidoo: That's not possible with my robots. Sorry.

Info for A17:
I'm close to finishing a new Job:

Job: Weapon Repair
Do you have your best weapon in an awful condition, but various worse weapons of the same kind just laying around?
Now you can repair your weapon with spare parts from similiar weapons (as long as you have a mechanic table)

Effectively it adds a floatmenu to all weapons if you have a mechanic table and a second weapon of that type available.
Your smith will then repair your selected weapon for 25 to 40% of the health of the second weapon.
For now this is an prioritize job only. No automatic settings.

What do you guys think about it? Is it useful or more of the unuseful kind?

This sounds like a great idea. Very simple way to deal with that legendary weapon losing durability.

Top tier mod, breaking new barriers in modding with the force leveling up system. After playing with this awhile I found some issues that you guys might not be aware of.

1) Force choke instantly downs mechaniod centipedes and sythers. While funny, is also way OP.
2) Crafting and art doesn't seem to give force XP, might just be a problem with mod conflicts though.
3) Less of an issue, but the whole reflecting projectiles thing is a little confusing. When I look up my character info for a pawn, it says that I have 119% chance to reflect projectiles. My pawn still gets shot up like crazy when a lot of people shoot at him/her. Maybe there is a cooldown on reflecting projectiles? A cooldown would seem like a good idea for balance.

Thanks for this amazing mod though, never gonna turn this one off.
May the fourth be with you :)

General Discussion / Re: Plague unbeatable early game?

Yeah, I got the plague a couple times on my latest save. Used full glitter world medicine treatments. No survivors. Such BS, Tyrone really has got to fix this.

General Discussion / Re: Mortars: Useful or not?
January 14, 2017, 08:11:46 AM
Motors in the current state of the game are niche, but they can be useful in certain situations.

For example, a massive tribal raid was about to hit me right after the mechanoid hive drop podded on my colonist's houses. All of my good soldiers were injured and in severe pain. The situation looked desperate. As the tribe was preparing for the raid I got my level one shooting cook on the incendiary motor. He managed to take out half of the the raiders before they could hit the base, saving most of my people from a grim end.

That being said, if I were playing Cassandra Extreme I wouldn't waste the time researching it. Motors aren't exactly optimal unless you are being sieged, but there are moments you are glad you had them and can be a useful addition to a colony's defenses.

I had to disable cave biome from my game. It causes cave plants to spawn in other biomes and it lags like hell every day at a certain moment.

So that is what all the lag is coming from! Thanks for the info.
