I think this update should be OK with old saves -pretty sure that note was for the previous one?


Ferrex are fine,
Jaffa I think need updating to work properly, since they haven't been updated since before the alien framework 2.0 change (this next version is more like 2.5 or 3.0)

MRBOSSJEFF: Sounds like you either need the alien framework loaded first, or Erdelf might have a partly-completed update still on the main branch of his git (if that's where you got the framework)

There's going to be a big update to the framework in a couple days - and I'll be updating most of my races to match the new setup - so you might need to get them again after that

hahahaha - yeah the CE question gets asked on almost every mod - it does get to be kinda like that "Are we there yet?" nagging. lol

Most races need patching to work with the CE stuff - since it changes the pawns base verbs into their own versions. There's a guide on their wiki about how to do it - I imagine you could even copy and alter their patch that edits normal humanoids. (if they did it that way)

Looks like I just need to add a few more backstories - this is a bug that seems to happen because of the backstory lists getting 'trimmed' or otherwise losing entries for some reason, and it throws an error about trying to select a backstory from an empty list.

The only extra stuff I included in any of my races are little vanity items equal to vanilla stuff, just with a different graphic.
The exception being the Xenn race, who have a pair of guns -  and duster/powerarmor combo item, which are like modified charge rifles (for heat or frostbite damage), and a powerarmor that's more expensive, but has better insulation for heat/cold.

No face? Yikes. Sounds like you've got some mod conflicts or something going on!

Might just need to update the alien framework?

I'm working on permissions to include the hairs I linked in the race pack to eliminate any more issues.

Also - the RTails deal should be cleaned up - it was a single def that I had copied over for a bionic Tail from one of my other races, and I'd missed changing a single reference in it.

That was an oversight on my part - in my haste to get all the stuff I'd updated back onto Git for PR's, I apparently missed an XML file.

those weapons are kinda experimental and need a bit more refinement, but they are intended to be a sort of 'next tier' weapon. The versions that got left in were probably my ridiculous test versions.

Did you get all my PR's?  I forget which ones I even updated at this point... heh.

I wanna say I had messed with the Medieval shields as well, but couldn't get it to work with the Sidearms mod... it was a while ago, and this past week (heat wave) has left my brain a goo pile - so I could be misremembering.

Anyways - nice to see some of this stuff get updated - ya make good crap mang.

The races all need the Alien Races Framework done by Erdelf.

Everything else should stand on it's own unless otherwise stated.

The randmization error in the alien races comes from the backstory selection process trying to select a bodytype, and then find a backstory for that bodytype that doesn't exist (I didn't give them any explicitly 'fat body' backstories, or not 'enough' apparently)

I've been readjusting them to eliminate this problem
