Ideas / Re: Justified organ harvest
August 01, 2017, 11:33:47 PM
I agree with justified organ harvest completely. I think a lung for a lung is an excellent idea and it makes perfect sense. Maybe to balance out this addition the developer could add a trait that provides mood defects for extracting organs or having too many prisoners, like a really moralistic person or something.

Ideas / Re: More/better positive events

I agree! There should definetely be more positive events, maybe some creative ones that don't change the game too much but make you feel a little more lucky sometimes. I would say the current positive events like obtaining a free, random boomrat are pretty unrewarding. And I think more positive events would also help balance the game out a little bit. I think it should be said, however, that too many positive events would unbalance the game and make it a bit too easy, which is what we have base building modes for anyway.

Ideas / Re: Spaceships?
August 01, 2017, 11:28:30 PM
I think it's a great idea, however I think it may be slightly out of the scope of Rimworld. Remember the story line repeats how your colony is run by a bunch of average dudes, not some heroes piloting a spaceship across the galaxy. Plus as another mentioned, this kind of invades the space of FTL and other star travel games.

So this has happened to me a couple times so far, but the ridiculousness of the first time I truly "lost rimworld" was mind boggling. It all started with a standard bandit raid, in which I had 2 or 3 colonists to defend my colony from 2 or 3 raiders. Nothing special happened here , however one of my soldiers was injured and needed treatment. About 2 days after the first attack another attack insued , in which all my colonists were hurt at some point in time and I had to throw on self tending. Then a wild hare attacked, which wasn't too much of a problem but delayed the recovery of my colonists. Finally later that night a dry thunderstorm hit and burned down my whole colony , leaving my dying colonists without shelter or medicine or anything, resulting in eventual death.

This all happened on "some challenge" with Cassandra classic and let me tell you, that felt like it should at least be "hard"

Hey guys, just created this account to report this bug that i couldn't find (although i only looked for a bit) on the forums so far. This bug is easy to repeat, and occurs when a trading caravan encounters the "pay me or die" random event. This event is when a group of pirates ask for a couple items and a handful of silver to let you pass, and if you refuse they will raid you and put the caravan in the ambush scene. After first encountering this situation i pressed escape to go and save the game and see if i could then make my decision, however the window disappeared and i was never attacked by the pirates, nor were the items listed drained from my caravan inventory. I think this is a bug or exploit that can be easily repeated, although i have not yet encountered this situation twice to test it.

Thanks for reading and i hope this helps.
