But then i don't much you can do.
Abandon the underground map, deactivate DeepRim and use Quarry/deepcore mining mod instead. A new map need more memory then when you use a these.
Not sure if you can deactivate the texture mod, you maybe should try it.

Other mod's that increase the memory need you prolly can't deactivate.
i found a more drastic solution, i used BCDedit to change the user address space to 3gb, drastic and not great for my system but it seems to have worked.

hi, i use rimworld 1.0 and have a 32 bit system(i'm poor don't judge me), and i have more mods than i probably should, but for no obvious reason a couple of weeks ago my game would crash at multiple unrelated points, when i opened menus, when i loaded it at the start, when i generate worlds, and most importantly and most consistently, when i actually start a game and the escape pods land. the game is completely unplayable for me now and any advice and help would be greatly appreciated.

Here's the folder the game spits out when i crash, this one came from a crash right before the escape pods were supposed to land on the map.

That's a lot of good consideration... but then again, it's a game, so some artistic license is allowed (and, at times, required) for this kind of thing, even when trying to make the game realistic.

But of course, RimWorld is all about the nitty gritty! Even just using Children and Pregnancy and Rim of Madness together you can sacrifice live infants to horrific gods.

well that's fun, but yeah some mechanics ive suggested would likely be difficult, i am not a modder so i dont know

I'm not sure how that third one would work since you don't really ever see raiders again after they've fled. Moreover most raiders come from settlements that probably wouldn't readily have access to x-ray or medical ultrasound technology, so whether shrapnel is detectable or not doesn't really matter.

Dirty bombs typically don't use uranium because Uranium-238 isn't radioactive enough (although it's quite toxic, so uranium dust is still dangerous), and Uranium-235 is way too expensive and would be more effectively used in nuclear weapons instead. Then again, dirty bombs aren't really weapons as much as they are a tool to really screw with your enemies. Very few people are bound to die from a dirty bomb detonation, but it will make a large area of potentially very valuable land unusable for a long time. Targets of dirty bombs will likely be things like farmland, not big cities. There's also "salted nukes", which combines the two and surrounds the nuclear device with material that becomes radioactive after the explosion irradiates it (like cobalt). In the end, it's not possible to make a mod that works with radioactivity without getting a ton of eye-rolls at the suspension of disbelief required to use it, at least until someone makes a plugin for RimWorld that handles isotopes and nuclear refineries, or something like that.

Fifth one sounds pretty plausible and I could see that happening in the near future.

Sixth one... carpet bombs come from airplanes, which RimWorld modding community is totally not ready for. If you mean something like mass-shelling, maybe it could happen but I don't see how it would be economical given the scale of RimWorld colonies. There's an ICBM mod if you're interested though, it's pretty OP however.

Fair points, the other stuff i wasn't sure about and wanted to start a discussion on, shelling makes a bit of sense i was thinking that it would work either as support(dangerous because your colonists could be hit) or as an attack on its own that would cause the enemies to leave their base and fight you, or surrender. i can totally see that being extremely OP.

also no 1.0 version for that gas mod?

i am a terrible person who wants to do terrible things, i also am no a modder and i have no idea how these things work, i don't want to sound demanding or entitled and i don't want anyone to think that that is what this post is, now, back to being hitler:

i want to gas people in battle and in prison!

i want to lay seige to enemy/victim settlements and starve them out either for ransoms or for the killings!

i want to use plastic shrapnel mines so my enemies will suffer untreatably for years!

i want to irradiate people with dirty bombs scattered uranium!

i want to implant bombs into prisoners so i can release them and have them blow up at enemy faction bases!(the intended effect is a relations penalty and no attacks from that faction for awhile)

i want to carpet bomb enemies or victims with artillery from a nearby hex to their base!(if colonist are also on that map that is targeted then artillery will launch from off-map at the largest hidden room, if colonists are not in that hex the targets will either surrender in time or find me and attack to stop the barrage.)

also if anyone else has ideas for other war crimes that could be added to rimworld please say, again i am not a modder i don't know how much of these are possible and i don't want to sound demanding or entitled and i don't want to come across as those things.

The mod is available during the "Select Landing Site" page (after you have created the world, but before you have started your colony) and also once in-game when you click the "World" button on the bottom menu bar.

It doesn't modify the save file, so you can add it / remove it whenever you want!

I made this mod to be able to find various combinations of tiles where to start my colonies, for example:


  • Must be a Coastal tile
  • Must have the following stone types: Granite, Marble and maybe Slate
  • Must be in a Temperate Forest biome
  • Must have a growing period between 40 days and a year round period
  • May have a river

This mod depends on HugsLib by UnlimitedHugs (remember to put HugsLib before this mod in the mod list).

I hadn't thought of that, would also be good to think of that about child abuse as well when working with C&P or CSL. That's one thing I don't know about, though; how likely is it for a rape victim to develop androphobia?
And, what about gay rapes? How different would debuffs be for male rape victims?

The error low show exceptption error's with the hygiene jobdriver at the startup.

You should at first delete the hygiene mod folder to be sure to have no old files left.
Then reinstall them, maybe download the latest version if you are unsure what version you got.

If you still got the problem/error you should post a new logfile at the hygiene topic then dubwise can take a look at it.
i cant see that being the problem, i downloaded the mod once and havent overwritten with any new versions, the download i did was the current version..

i mean they are already fairly realistic, except cold snaps happen faster and are usually accompanied by mass freezing, it is not uncommon to find a school of river fish frozen solid after a cold snap

Don't worry, I am not a softie poseur who sees the world through the lens of media. I'm well experienced with these kind of things and I know the harsh reality.

So i have dubs bad hygiene mod, and it is pretty cool but it is also very buggy at least with my version of the game(release) and my mods, i keep getting these errors about wash buckets and latrines and other similar fixtures, and my prisoner is crapping and vomiting all over himself despite having his own latrine and wash bucket, i also keep getting this yelling at me, https://git.io/fxjly, and my free pawns seem to prefer to wash themselves by jumping in a nearby river i live on the banks of instead of using our wash buckets. send help this is terrible and my prisoners needs don't even show up despite the fact he clearly needs to crap on my floor and i have enabled prisoner needs in the configs.any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

yes, i know there are mods that allows you to make/gro plasteel, but they also come with a ton of other stuff that conflicts with othe rmods i have or that i just plain don't want to deal with, i saw a great really simple mod on steam the allowed you to craft plasteel from chemfuel and steel at refineries and machining tables, unfortunetly i didn't get rimworld on steam. i also have XND's plastic mod if anyone feels like adding compatibility with that.
