Yeah I saw those little cremation rooms.

But I liked the idea of raiders having to cross a field of their own dead to get at me.

And this colony that I posted is on Randy Random, so I have over 50 colonists. And they can build thing really quickly. So setting up 30 graves is a one minute thing. Unlike a Cassandra game where its just not practical.

And this is the South. Its still a work in progress. But I am getting there.

I love the way the stock piles look.

I think we should just get a certain amount of points and be allowed to allocate them as we see fit.

That would save loads of time.

I love the idea of choosing a map. What about a mountain in the middle of the map? We could then defend it on 4 fronts. Would be epic!

Second.

We could have "Guest rooms" that they could stay in. In which they can come and go as they please.

At the moment, a few people have shown up to look at my colony. And that's all they do. Can I bribe them to help build something?

I would like to see some new rooms added that can flesh out our colonies a bit.

With Alpha 2. The emphasis has changed from preparing a good defence to growing enough food.

The growing areas seem to be useless. But they pretty much were in Alpha 1 so that not an issue. Hydroponic tables seem to grow potato's a lot slower and I am having a bit of trouble creating a surplus for trading. 

In my current game on Randy Random (I have 48 colonists btw) I decided to create a growing area to plant strawberry plants so that I could sell more potatoes. Bizarrely I started running low on food. This is despite having 10 people on growing! I cancelled the growing area and created another section for hydroponics and that stopped the rot, but I am not getting a surplus.

A trick I picked up is to watch the Oafs growing and stop them taking the first thing they grow to eat. Make them put in in a hopper instead and then they eat half of the potato instead of the whole thing.

Raids seem to have slowed to a trickle. Its rare that I even get attacks anymore and they never come in very large numbers? I was expecting 50 - 60 raiders. I am getting 10-20 of them.

However when a raid finally comes, a second raid group appears..and a third( and one time a forth!). While waiting for the second group to hit, several of my colonists have had a mental break and run straight into the raiders. Even during the firefight, this has happened.

Ever since Alpha 2 came out the problem isn't raiders anymore, its food.

Like in Star Wars.

A band that can play that increases happiness of colonists and a bar where colonists can drink.

There should also be speakers you can hook up inside your colony. Every colonist that can hear it will gain a happiness bonus.

The band should require 4 colonists to work properly with 1 point of happiness per band member being gained.

Drinking should also give a +5 happiness, but weaken you skills by 2 points each. A Barman is also needed to make drinks.

if your colony lasts over 100 days. everything seems to go green outside. So I thought that you would eventually be able to use every bit of land.

I protested too soon. My very first attempt at Alpha 2 was a massive success...till I bizarely ran out of food.

I had 12 colonist and a almost fully built base. 12 rooms with beds and a proper comm room and research room. The canteen (as I call it) was built and I had loads of hydroponic tables.

Yes I ran out of food!? I still have no idea what happened.

Randy was being very nice with raiders...he was sending loads of bombrats instead lol.
