Bugs / [1.3.3200] No one attends pawn's 2nd marriage
January 29, 2022, 08:24:29 AM
I've searched but can't find any similar bugs, & while I run about 40 mods I'm fairly sure this is an Ideology bug.

Situation is that I have several ideologies co-existing:
Archotech ideology 1 allows 1 spouse for male & female
Archotech ideology 2 allows 1 spouse for female but 2 for male

Pawn 1 is male of archotech ideology 2, & has 2 girlfriends, both of ideology 1.
He proposes to, & is accepted by both females: 1st marriage goes ahead as normal, 2nd marriage (a few days later) is ignored by entire colony except for the 2 participants.

In addition to the non-attended marriage issue, I think wife #2 is breaking her own Ideology precepts which only allow 1 spouse per male/female.  They usually follow these rules religeously, as if one ideology allows free love, & the other retricts it then 'new lovers' won't sleep together.

I can add more detail/save/mod list etc later.

Ideology (but not Royalty) Medical specialist - when hovering over the medical specialist the pop-up box states "holders of this role will refuse to perform some non-medical tasks" and the list of abilities ends with: "Disabled work: Hunt, finish"

However, when a pawn is assigned to that role, they gain the non-violent trait, & lose all points/ability in mellee, & are no longer able to equip any weapon.  The pop-up box on 'non-violent' does state: "Disabled work types: Hunter, Executer" which is the same as any pawn with the non-violent trait.  While game mechanics may well mean that disabling these 2 work types does in effect disable all violence, the wording strongly suggests that it only affects hunting related skills.

If this is working as intended then the description text should mention that a healer specialist will become non-violent.

Steps to reproduce: add Medical Specialist to Ideology, select any pawn with medical skill >=6 & assign role.  Pawn loses all mellee skill (disabled) retains shooting skill, gains non-violent trait.  Tested with & without mods, on running game & new start.

I have noticed the same behaviour since 1.3 - only the bride + groom hang about for the celebration (tho all available pawns attend the ceremony)
