I definitely want to see some more primitive technology in the game, wood burning ovens to cook for example. so that people do not need to set up solar panels and geothermal generators just to have a hot meal, and more traditional crematoriums which also use wood to burn corpses.
Right now in the game just about everything needs power to work.

Ideas / Ways to trade with other colonies?

The  only thing you can do with other colonies right now is send them silver and ask for military help, I am sure there will be a way to trade with them at some point in the future, but I think the problem is the way you send stuff to them, I don't think sending stuff to space makes much sense if you are sending silver to neighboring colonies, how about some sort of horse (or muffalo) and cart, Railway lines, freight boats, even planes I think it would be good enough to have your colonists put stuff in them and they would disappear for a while, and come back with the stuff you bought from the other colony. It would be nice to see the vehicle travel off to the edge of the map, and come back again to where it was before, but I am not sure how difficult that would be to code.

like groups of people from other tribes/colonies, a herd of muffalo pass through the map (it could depend on the biome you are in) but instead of the normal 8 or 9 muffalo that normally spawn, you could get maybe 20-30 at a time (or even more, I am not sure what the game is capable of).

How about mine carts on rails, to save hauling time in mines and whatnot, because most of my mines are a straight tunnel going into the mountain with branches coming out of it, so having a mine cart coming down the main tunnel would save a lot of time, in the new maps which do not always have a mountain covering one side of the map, it would be less useful though.

I don't know, mine carts have probably been suggested before, but I think they sound much more fitting in Rimworld.

How about an equipment rack that lets you stack items, instead of having massive stockpiles full of pistols, you could have an equipment rack that stores say, 50 items of a certain type, like 50 pistols, 50 M-16s, 50 Jackets, that would be far easier than those stockpiles for gear...

The thing about making fine/lavish meals is that you need to constantly go out and set more animals to be hunted, so why not have a zone where animals are automatically set to be hunted? It would also be useful for partially walled in areas where you don't want any animals for whatever reason.

I like the idea of having something to happen to your colonists after they escape in their ship, but I am not sure about having to manage 2 colonies (the option would be nice, for those who want it though). Instead of just that message saying you are in the AI's hands now, there are lots of possibilities. I want to know what happens to them. It sounds like it would be very complicated to implement, because it would not be fun having an assortment of preset messages.

I was thinking of something to do with AI persona cores if you have too many of them, and a little bird told me that in the next update there would be prosthetic limbs and whatnot for people who have lost their arms/legs. So I was thinking, what about the ability to create an entire body out of mechanical parts, and put a persona core on it, to make a mechanical colonist, it could be more bulletproof than humans, but takes EMP damage, it could be immune to fire, it could have social disabled as a standard, but works faster than humans... The list of things goes on and on.
