Bugs / Re: Strangely incapacitated

i dont know if its that far fetched though, peg legs are not going to be comfortable to walk on as it is, plus they are awkward, no knee to bend, no impact absorption, if the bad back is severe, you are not going to get far on sticks for legs

General Discussion / Re: Inspiration for RimWorld music
February 09, 2015, 10:52:30 AM
I don't know (after all its all personal opinion) but I'm more a fan of the frontier/firefly feel, the stuff we already got, more music may not be bad when used correctly, like it is now, but for me, not a big fan of the ewan Dobson, especially for this game, but each to their own :P

I'd like a Halberd, and maybe some more futuristic melee items

Ideas / Re: Steel is acting not as steel at all.

Regarding the properties of the meal, I have no clue. The name being changed to steel was a conscious decision by  Tynan. The metal you are mining is not natural ore. IIRC, these metals are the remnants of older civilizations, left buried by time or terraforming. Some older civilization mined ores, created steel structures, and these structures are what you are finding. Thus, it's a processed metal you are finding. Not an ore. This is why you can find plasteel, which is not a natural material at all.

A nice, i dont suppose you have a link to that being said? Reasonable enough reason for a sci fi game, i do kind of hope some of the fluff will be more explicit in the game when its nearly finished, whenever that may be

I admit, i preferred it when it was just called "metal" but Ty might have ideas, or just thought steel sounder cooler, but yes, it is a little strange that steel catches fire... and so easily under the circumstances in the game

Because this is the up to date changelog of that Ty is developing, so will be in A9

Called "Project armour"? Ha

Edit: "Project Armory Apparel (PAA) actually."

Well, ok, that sounds much better, but not far off....

Ideas / Re: Compete for resources

My only issue would be is, if you have this whole world map, and theres only 4 or 5 major factions, why would they purposely build where you land? maybe if its a small outpost to keep an eye on you, or as a staging point, but whole bases trying to steal your resources seems a bit... much, to me personally anyway. They raid you because they want people to enslave, recruit or sell, or because they think you are a threat (in my mind) but its not necessarily a territorial war
