Awesome!
Raiders, please rub some salt and pepper on your skin and step into this soot-blackened room.
Diner is about to be served.

I personally find this the hardest withe the new increased wildlife agro I've started a random game like all the cobras on the map got agro by other animals like monkeys lost 2 colinists of my 3 before even had finished stocking up with the starting gear Id run away from a cluster just to find anothe three slithering the other way in cold biomes so much easier
Heh, cool!

Agreed, no drinking.

All rivers must start from a mountain or the edge of the map.

Very hard to pass in narrow sections, very easy to pass in wide sections.

The water is always very cold, cooling the colonist.

Watermills?

So my latest recruit had a melee of 9 and shooting of 3, but because of the way I set up my defenses, melee is essentially useless so I gave him a rocket launcher figuring that he couldnt really miss with that. about a week ingame after recruiting him I get the "Alpha Beavers" scenario. I immediately set all beavers to be hunted and all colonists to prioritize hunting. This dumbass walks up to 3 beavers and at point blank fires the rocket launcher. Not only does he kill all the beavers, but he destroys all the trees around them, starts a huge fire destroying more trees (-.-), destroys the rocket launcher (I didnt know you could do that), and gets launched like 12 squares backwards. He somehow manages to survive without losing any limbs (although they are all shredded) and is completely healed after a single night in the medical wing. I very quickly changed his priorities to crafting...
I thought rocket launchers were always single use?

removing a denture from a colonist, they starve to death, since they can not eat.
Eh, every time they pass out from hunger just install a denture, feed them and remove it again.

No biggie.

Completely agree.

I'd ask for temperature controlled vents too, but I'd likely be pushing it.

And yeah, rodents breaking into vents to steal crap and chew on conduits does sounds pretty awesome.
Isn't that a cooler?

Sounds like that part wasn't properly attached.

I am totally agree with colonist707, game is just moving the wrong direction.

don't like it feel free to stick to alpha 1 or go find something else to play, none is forcing you to update and play this ever improving game

Changing and adding new stuff to game is good, but it doesnt mean that we need to create a sims-santa-barbara simulator from this game...
FPS voxel sandbox games may be more your style.
For example, you will like 7 Days To Die, I know I do.
It has lots of crafting, lots of fighting, and none of the social interaction apart from other players but you can just shoot them in the face and steal their stuff if you are so inclined. Personally, I like working with people to defend each other from the zombies.

Personally, I like both types of game.
I wouldn't want Rimworld to be more about fighting if that means it would lose simulation gameplay.

So many elipses...

Oh well, I like the game.

Question: can small animals pass through damaged vents?
Because I really think that should happen.

Something tell me a door you can let open and close suddenly is the only thing keeping from making temperature-based traps.
Sounds good to me! I've always wanted a walk-in incinerator.

Shouldn't we just know when an eclipse is coming? I mean we can predict them thousands of years before they happen, and have been able to for thousands of years. Sure its a new planet, but if my guys can figure out how to make cryopods and geothermal generators, you figure they would be able to do something that the ancient Greeks had down?
I'll take your word for it once you have done the calculations yourself.

Also, just because the ancient greeks were less technologically advanced does not mean they were dumber. I'd wager your average ancient greek voter had a greater chance of calculating eclipses than your average current voter.

My, I am belligerent today. Please don't take me too seriously.
