They should randomly spawn to areas with access to the very edge
you can safely commit genocide on them
Muffalos have much rarer spawn rate so it could take a while for them to spawn
but there should be constant supply of squirrels and boomrats around

General Discussion / How are the animals spawned?

Quite curious about it in my current game (a giant mouintain with scarce land). Do they breed or are they spawned according to their numbers? If I kill all the muffalo will there be more?

General Discussion / Do you ever use melee?

I gotta say I never use melee attacks- always rely on guns. Is there any sense in using melee combat?

I'd love the polar biome. No plants, no wood, just seals, bears and a base carved into a mountain.

I have never used it. Ever. Though I can understand in certain, yet non-implemented biomes it could be a lifesaver.

October 09, 2014, 10:00:09 AMQuote from: MrDecay on October 09, 2014, 09:15:55 AMImagine playing on a large map. Zoom off, move frantically looking for the base. One-buttoning it would really make things easier.
Is it too hard to just move the camera to your base the normal way? Never had a problem with the 3 seconds it takes to find mine...

But where is your base? Is it the medbay? The kitchen, Stockpile 1? Or the center of any player-build structures?
It would be handy, but seems largely undefined. I'd prefer Pawn and Item grouping per hotkey, with the option the be taken to the selected items/pawns.

I'd really love it if hitting the 'home' button would transport the view straight to base. Seems natural and very convenient.

Do you not use wasd for map movement? I don't think I've ever used the middle mouse button.

Ideas / Just a few suggestions

Awesome game! I cannot recall any game of late that would suck me in so much!
A few wee suggestions:
1. Weaponcrafting- survivors could make some hedge-weapons from metal or sticks to defend themselves.
2. Skill advance pop-up- A pop-up informing the player if a survivor's skill has reach a new (or predefined) level.
3. Different mouse button for moving the map- I've got blisters on my index finger from using the middle mouse button
4. A fridge- to keep food in one place and fresh for a longer time.
Keep on rockin'!
