I've noticed that the dead people have a health of 100/100 and you only see that they are dead because of the added (dead) to the name.
Could you please also set the health of the dead to 0/xxx?
I find it irritating that the colonists have sometimes less health than their dead attackers..  ???

I am not really a friend for auto pause. Sometimes I just want them to do what ever they decide, even so far as leaving the game running and doing something else.
So, if the auto pause should be implemented, it should be possible to decide if auto pause or if crawl speed.
My preference would be crawl :)

Personal I like Tynans proposal more..
I find it unrealistic to continue to play your colony where you left of. And your other variant could result in a totally destroyed colony you return to.
(You missed the last 3 raider attacks while strolling through other realms  ;D)
Both variants aren't really satisfying to me..

I agree with Roach here. It seems to be a really nice concept.
Especially with the bigger, discoverable map later on.. (Do I smell archeological sites or enemy outposts?  ;D)

Your bounty hunter idea gave me the following idea:
With a raider drop comes a single (or duo) of colonists who wants to join your colony. They drop halfway between the raiders and the colony.
Background: The raiders originaly hunt the colonist(s). They see your colony and decide to run their to request help.
This will get you instandly a new colonist for free (like the event, were a colonist joins) but has the disadvantage that the raiders will instantly attack your base because of the 'see colonist trigger'.

Maybe the best would be to have both ways available..
Why not use the automatic variant Tynan suggested and if you're really not ok with how the AI behaves you draft them and move them as you like.
This way everyone can use it as he/she likes..
Just my 2 cents.. :)

Maybe something like a siren:
You can build it and if installed you get an item in the architect to switch the colony wide alarm on/off.
When the alarm is off, your colonists do their normal stuff.
When the alarm is on, your colonists go to marked soldier spots or marked civilian spots.
But in this mode it should still be possible to draft a civilian to repair a turret or something.

A small idea to make raiders a little bit harder:

I think the raider alert, could be changed:
-From the beginning you don't get alerts that raiders have landed. Only when they are ready and start attacking you. (or not at all? Or only when spotted?)
-You can research some alert options and afterwards build a small radar dish or something else.
-Only when you build this (and it is powered) you'll get the alerts of raiders as it is now.

With this it is more likely to get surprised by raiders and they have a chance to slip by your disabled towers.  :D
