Thanks! I'm hoping to post short snippets daily, or whenever I can. This is a RimWorld fanfic, I assure you, but don't expect many image attachments or strict adherence to story/gameplay integration. I'm starting based on Alpha 7 but will add more stuff based on game progression.

Something I've noticed with various other stories on this forum is that it can be hard to figure out when a new chapter begins. So either put the new chapter in a new post on this thread, or if you are going to put the new chapter in the OP, make it clear when it begins. Just trying to help.

What does it mean.

In the changelog, if you see bugfixes day after day it usually (Not all the time) means the next alpha is coming soon.

So in the past 3 to 4 days I've noticed that bugfixes have been in the changelog.

If you've been on the forum for a while you know what that usually means!

This is probably one of the more interesting things I have read on this site. Keep it up.

Hey guys, do we want to go ahead and start with just the three of us?

If not, I'd recommend setting a date to start the game no matter what. Or not, just throwing suggestions into the wind. ;)
sounds good,
next Monday(a week from tomorow)
well start with whatever players we have
anyone is still free to sign up though
(I'll wright them in somehow)

also on an unrelated note
I've been thinking of a perk system for your characters
they would give +1 modifiers for certain actions
what system should I use
1.I just assign a perk based on background
2.I give you a list of perks you can choose
3.you come up with a perk and I approve it
which would you prefer

That sounds good. I'm free at that time. Just PM me the perk list and I'll have a look at it.

I will only ask one question: Can we get Pot-Bellied Stoves to keep us warm during Winter?

Note - some of them are prettier than others.

Question based on technology in the fluff itself: Will we ever be able to get floor types that go above 100 percent? I mean in all honesty the logic would be at some point there would be some technology that would allow for much faster movement other than bionics.

What about using some of those flat elevator floors you sometimes see in air ports?

Eh..... if the AI is able to say "oh shit if I go this way I go faster" then yeah I'd support that. My problem would be if the AI doesn't understand that and they go running on it backwards and instead end up going super slow.

That would be an advantage for us. If going the opposite way on the floors will slow them down, we'd have more time to shoot them. But the way the game is now, it would be way too easy to take advantage of.

hey vagineer
(that name btw...that name)
ive been meaning to ask you
how many people should we wait for?
i can go anywhere from 3-10,
but the more players we want
the longer it will take to start playing

I do not know. Maybe 5 or 6? I've never been in a D&D style game so I wouldn't know.

I would wait to see how they deal with the fact its a buggy glitchy mess before spending your money. Juat sayin...

I'm going to hope that they will fix some of the bugs before the UK release of AC: U tomorrow.

Is anyone on the forum getting AC: U for the Playstation 4? If so, would you like to engage in a bit of jolly cooperation?

On the eighth day of Christmas, Tynan gave to me... 8 alphas launching, 7 raiders raiding, 6 Solar panels, 5 fine meals, 4 angry squirrels, 3 fires blazing, 2 geothermals and a brand new colonist!

I'd like to see a full 12 day version.
9 centipedes attacking.

I'll probably start a thread called: The Twelve Days of Alpha on the first day of December.

This may sound like a strange question but does anyone know the name of that movie where alien robots take refuge in an old woman's home which is scheduled to be demolished, they end up repairing the home at the end of the movie and fly off into space.

Does anyone remember the name of that film? I've been looking for a long time as it was my favourite film when I was a kid.
