Pick the best source of Joy, not random -> this already happens. You don't see but colonists build a "resistance" to the same joy activity.
When they go for the chess or a walk, they actually are doing the best joy activity.

I give them 2 hours of joy as they wake up, a free hour, then work for 10 hours, 2 free hours and then sleep for 7. It works.

How to fight insects:

  • Mine a large complex
  • Have long corridors
  • Use automatic weapons
I use 6 person cleaning teams.
It works beautifully.

The jaw is oddly considered a bone, so it won't bleed.
Limbs shot, torn or cut off already bleed.

(bleeding should not be severe! Traumatic amputations actually have very little bleeding involved.)

You could have a vague idea of where it will spawn.
It will be useful for big colonies.
