Is it just a completely random number?
Because I think I'm seeing a massive difference in RD based on age.

A 20yr old is impossible to recruit, while a 25 yr old is possible, but just barely

If that is the case, then I have no words for how completely stupid that system is.

I suspect it's going to be similar to Dwarf Fortress in that the subject matter of the art is going to be people and events from your colony's history. If you're constantly attacked by centipedes then you're going to end up with a lot of mechanoid themed statues. Oh look, one of your colonists has created a uranium statue commemorating that time when six people were eaten by squirrels. Just the thing to hang in the break room.

DAMN PSYCHOTIC SQUIRRELS!!!

How about an event where children show up in your colony

The characters will already have a childhood in their character screen but nothing for their adulthood.
Where they could develop something for their adulthood

Such as, "Colony chief, or Colony guard, or Colony warden"
Based on what they are doing in the colony.

correct me if I'm wrong but raids are scaled to your relative power, so theoretically if you deconstruct some turrets the raids should spawn in smaller numbers

I like that the world is so active.

But I hate that the world eventually turns into a landfill of raider leftover mortars and sandbags, I wish that there were some predators in the game that would eat some of the survival packets that are left everywhere around my map.

Maybe something like a wolf that could tear it open and eat the food inside?
This wolf-like creature could also act as an opportunist, eating survivors of crashes, or some wounded raiders that never made it to your base due to a lucky mortar strike.
Maybe these predators could eat some Alpha beavers  ;D
Because it's kind of silly that the world isn't completely barren of trees with creatures such as that inhabiting it, at least not without a predator hunting them that is

And some bug-like creature to eat the cloth that keeps dropping around my colony.

And maybe make some mechanoids come and deconstruct some mortars and take away the resources?
They could also take away unprotected stone, gold, lumber, and other goods.

Some force trying to reset the landmass to how it once was.

Not for vanilla game please, it's much more interesting to examine your invading party

'Oh that guy only has a shiv? I won't really worry about him, I'll put my melee guy closer to the front. Oh crap, they have three snippers?!
Lol, one of the snipers is a brawler, she is no problem. I might have to charge them. ARGH, what am I going to do when these guys get here!?'

As opposed to.

'I'm going to shoot at the random things that are going to bust down my door... meh.'

- Pirates might be less offended if you sell people into slavery
- Some tribes might be prostophobic and dislike you if you use lots of prosthetics.
- If nuclear reactors ever get added you could have some factions be offended by that.
- Clearing lots of trees might upset others.

Alpha beavers must be the most hated faction in game then.

Ideas / Request certain traders on Comms console

Its really annoying for me when I'm sitting on 20+k silver and DESPERATELY need some more colonist but there is nothing I can really do to get more.

I would really like to send out request on the Comms Console for certain traders, like for example slavers. Or combat supplies, stuff like that. (But I'm also pretty picky on who I let in)

Maybe send out the message *Hey Fresh meat, selling slaves, get em while they're hot!*(because everyone I try to save ends up at 99% recruitment difficulty anyway)

I wouldn't even mind if I have to wait.

Maybe it could just double the chances of one showing up.

All I want is a small degree of control on who shows up.

Make biotic eyes more available in trade ships because for some reason in this game half the chars are old enough to predate sin and everyone has cataracts

Also, why is everyone so OLD!
I mean the average age in this game is like 50
