+1, keep paying this man and adding music as much as is reasonably feasible imo. Great soundtrack.

Ideas / Re: Hydroponic Death Don't Make No Sense

I don't know what the better solution is, all I know is it makes me not use hydroponics at all unless I'm playing in a biome where it's absolutely necessary.

I'm afraid everyone isnt that much of a sperg.

If you choose to play like this (constantly reloading over one items quality then another etc) you are doing more of a disservice to yourself than anything. And then telling everyone about it as if most of us didnt realize that... Yes we do, we're just maybe not as chin deep into autistic minmaxing.

"Hey guys look if I reload constantly in most games I can eventually winn4r"

Meat types in stockpile options should be sorted alphabetically

And everything else.

Omg this please. Sooo obnoxious looking through some of those lists of meat or leather where it's just a random pile of names.

Ideas / [QOL] Burn apparel
March 28, 2016, 07:57:56 PM
Maybe this is not latest-build related (I never used burn apparel before) but I feel very hesitant to use this as there's no way to filter materials.
Even low quality or damaged devilstrand equipment will sell for decent amounts and I don't really want to burn them, however all the lower end materials I would definitely want to get rid of.

The net result is I want to use burn apparel, but I don't.

I would love extra options like that on worldgen or just have some areas of the map that are affected so you can start a colony with very uhh special conditions. Game doesn't need to be balanced around it, but it provides extra challenges or exotic situations for the players that want to spice things up.

Totally in favor of this being implemented in some way shape or form.

Best tip I can give is build a copious amount of doors so you can play peekaboo and have the best chance of whittling down problematic attacks when things get a little tougher than you'd planned for.

It's worth it right now already if you like sandbox/crafting type games in general.

It's highly recommendable if you enjoy RTS / resource management also.

Dev is active, not sure how long that'll last, but as long as he is the sky is the limit here.

killing non hostile roaming animals while reducing risk (shooting boomalopes, or dangerous high hp stuff like thrumbos etc)

targeting  specific particularly threatening hostile pawns/MECHANOIDS within reach (omg shoot down scythers first before they amputate my guys)

that's about it for me.

but I do very much like having the option to micromanage turret targets

General Discussion / Re: bodies don't rot in graves
March 20, 2016, 03:41:35 PM
Speaking of rot and graveyards and all that, how long do skeletons take to dissolve? do they ever? I guess it's one thing I've never looked into too much but they seem to stick around forever, even outside being rained on, and burned.

I pretty much never use graveyards except early game before crematoriums become available, and then I just keep one or two for "visiting" purposes.

Re implement a double agent that infiltrates as a wanderer and then slowly takes silver out of the stockpiles when you're not noticing and then reveals themselves and runs.

This. "Friendly" dude walks around lalala and then based on something you get the chance to notice it sooner (when he's still in your base) or later (when he's already running for it).
